    Tina takes the final leap of faith.

    She stood up, "I have to go now, but I guess I’ll still be seeing you until you leave," she reached out for my hand, "I’m always here for you if you need."

     

    I watched her walk away from me as melancholy washed over me. I didn’t know if all my questions were answered, but there were so many things I wanted to tell her. I didn’t know if I would ever get the opportunity to.

    I was thankful that I was on leave today; it gave me some time to gather my thoughts. Did I really think that this was possible? Just to drop everything I had worked so hard for to be with someone I hardly knew at all? Not to mention that I would be financially handicapped if I were to just leave with Bette. I loved her, I had no doubt about that. But did I have enough courage to take this leap into the unknown?

     

    I had told Lara my decision, but when the words had escaped my lips, I realized how unrealistic it sounded out loud. With Lara and my Mom’s words lingering in my mind, I felt more unsure if I had made the right decision.

     

    I picked up the phone, there was only one person I needed to talk to now.

     

    "Hello?"

     

    "B, it’s Tina. Can we meet? I need to talk to you."

    Bette came over the hotel and we sat in the Lobby Court and I ordered a glass of red. It felt so surreal to be sitting there across from Bette, since this was the place I had first spoken to her. She laced her fingers through mine as she sat beside me.

     

    "What’s on your mind, T?" she asked, smiling gently. I would never forget how I had fallen in love with her smile.

     

    "I just wanted to tell you that I thought about your proposal, about going around Asia with you…"

     

    "And?" her eyes lit up with hope.

     

    "I decided that…that…" I felt the tears welling up in my eyes.

     

    She moved her chair closer to me, giving my hand an encouraging squeeze, "Baby, whatever decision you make, I wouldn’t be upset. I might be disappointed but it’s ok."

Really it was awsome and i was really shocked when Tina said that Lara is her soul mate an I was thinking in that moment “Oh my God what is she doing?” but then i calm down and try to catch by breath:) awsome, decision was made without any pressure:) thank you!!

    7. Ahhh…I wish it wasn’t ending. Hope you consider a sequel at some point as you mentioned. Glad Tina decided to stay put and I certainly understand why Lara had to leave. Beautifully done!
