Chapter 12
“Elizabeth do you realize what this means? You can’t just go around throwing your name around to every bastard that is born.”
“Hold it right there mother, Angelica is no bastard. That is my child and your grandchild.” I was so angry I could just spit fire.
“Watch your tone Elizabeth!”
“I will always respect you mother. However Angelica is my child. She will not be known as a bastard!” I knew my mom had trust issues after my other mother’s betrayal. I didn’t want to be rude. I just wasn’t going to let her insecurities walk over me. I was ready to fight who ever crossed me. Her biggest problem was that I was turning into my other mother. Who could truly betray her loved ones.
But my main concern right now was that Tina and Angelica were going to live.
“I’m so angry right now!” She took a deep breath trying to control her temper. “And that’s what she is because Christina is married to another. To your sister if we need to be specific.’’ I could see it in her eyes, she wanted to hit me. She was just concerned that if she did she wouldn’t be able to stop. “How could you do this to your own sister?”
“Christina and I didn’t know who we truly were. We gave each other different names and there wasn’t much talking.” I was trying not to smile at the memory. This woman was going to be the death of me.
“Obviously you were too busy fucking. You’re always too busy fucking… that’s your problem your head is always too busy between someone’s legs you never think clearly.”
I just looked down. This wasn’t the first time my lack of responsibility was brought to my mother’s attention. However this time it did go a little far. Okay more than a little.
“Do realize what this means? You will be the crown Princess. You will have to marry and are the next Queen of Fangura. Your marriage to princess Xiomara will make you the most powerful queen of our time.”
Reality of the situation was sinking in. I would have to be queen. I no longer had the option to turn the title down. This meant Angelica was going to be a target until she grew. When I became queen I would have full control of all 3 planets.

I have like, a million questions… Who is Helena’s other parent? Why did Olivia have to accept that the product of an affair, after she bore the Queen one daughter and parented another during their marriage, was in line for the throne, if Helena was a bastard? And for that matter, why was Helena spared and why are Olivia and Peggy still together? Why have Xiomara and the royals of Vito let Elizabeth get away with not following through on the arranged marriage? The blood bond that Peggy and Katherine sensed with Angelica, how did they not try to confirm it before Christina was sentenced to death and held prisoner for so long? How can Christina’s womb belong to Elizabeth, but Elizabeth not be allowed to have anything to do with her? Is polygamy legal in Fangura? Will there eventually be civil war if Helena and Elizabeth don’t settle their differences? I could go on… I have literally been thinking about this story all day. My imagination’s running wild, but I don’t think it’s a match for yours, b-b… you’re the one that keeps coming up with the twists! This story’s awesome… such a lot of fun. Thanks (and please keep doing two chapters a day where you can!) :)
Great story and I’m enjoying it very much just so many questions that aren’t clear and don’t seem to have logical answers. Either that or I’m not giving the author enough time to answer them, probably the latter. At any rate a great story and your imagination is superb. I’m with jp22 and all her observations and questions. Thanks for posting such a great story. PPS
I don’t like what I’m reading… “You will marry princess Xiomara and stay away from Princess Christina unless it has something to do with Angelica.”… And that’s not all Bette should stay away from the Palace?.. Wth..You mean outside of their kingdom?..Man that was hard for both of them.. [BnT]

So many interesting twists and turns! Christina’s womb belonging to Elizabeth? Not sure how either will like that. Marriage to Princess Xiomara… I’m sure that’s going to cause even more problems. There’s going to be a lot of trouble coming. For now though, Angelica might be a little antidote to the drama. I hope the wound Helena has given her sister isn’t too serious. I’m surprised none of them could smell the blood. Thanks for posting again, can’t wait for the next! :)

it would be lovely to read something like: princess X is madly in love with helena, and in this relationship H. could find peace and a planet to rule, while B& T are married! ;)

Hm, cvu, there’s always the possibility that Xiomara will want nothing to do with Bette now that there’s already an heir to the throne on Fangura… Or that Helena and Christina’s marriage will somehow be dissolved… (or that there really might be some sort of duel and Helena doesn’t survive.) There are a lot more ways that everything could pan out… I need to hush now, but this story’s got me so hooked. I love a good fantasy/adventure tale!
I hope Princess Bette will be all right. What about this Princess Xiomara that Bette has to marry? Who is she? PPS I’m curious!!!! :D:D
yes the apple didn’t fall far from the tree… so did peggy and olivia have the same rules when helena was born… what happened to helena’s other mother… or am i reading this wrong… helena was a bastard also… her words for angelica …not mine… can’t wait for more… pps
