Chapter 22

I waited patiently for Alice to come into my room. She had sent notice that she had the information I wanted. She was being overly dramatic. Of course, that was her style.

Shane sat on my couch and just watched me closely. She remained silent. I knew she had a lot on her mind. Now that she was in this new relationship with Carmen. She was just watching me a little too closely. She’d been doing that a lot lately. She would eventually tell me, that was her style. However I felt her eyes looking at me a little intense for my liking.   

“What Shane? What?” She was making me nervous. 

She showed me her best smirk but left it at that. I decided to just drop it. I had other concerns that required my full attention.

Finally the doors open. “Okay, I’m here.” Alice yelled as she walked in through the doors.

“Took you long enough, Al. Now close the door and sit your ass down.” Alice did as she was told. She sat next to me on the couch.

“So how’s it going?” Alice casually asked, knowing it annoyed me how she never got to the point.

“Alice!” My said a little louder then I had intended.

“Okay, I made contact with the Queen from Elfron. She’s on her way and should be here tomorrow morning. Let me tell you that lady knows how to spit fire. My ears bled after listening to her… She isn’t pleased specially since a few months ago our planets were about to go to war. I had to explain to her that what happened between you and Tina. The word slut was said more than I felt necessary. Just felt it was my duty to tell you she may not be pleasant. Although I agreed with everything she was saying.” I rolled my eyes. “She will come and set her demands. I did mention you wanted Angelica to get to know her other grandparents like you asked. Which you recommended her stay with Angelica, good thing we know she can’t stay away from Elfron to long. She’s agreed and is delighted with the idea… I have to tell you that’s helping you earn points.”
