    Bette’s trip comes to an end… thank god

     

     

    I returned to my room and once again I shook my head and laughed at my room. "What a room, at Hells Hotel".
    I changed into Tina’s PJ’s and slid under the covers, that dam wind is so annoying. I feel like I’m Dorothy in the “Wizard of OZ”. Oh well Tina should be up, what am I saying it’s about 1 in the afternoon at home.

    "Hey baby, it’s good to hear your voice too. It was a very interesting day. I met with Patrick and wait till you meet him. Of course I booked him, he couldn’t resist the Porter charm. You know for a man he is very good looking, in fact I know you’re going to laugh but he looks like he could be my long lost brother. No I’m not kidding, your right Melvin was no saint and I could have a few sisters and brothers running around, but I think he is a few years older then me. That’s a good idea I think I will Google him; tomorrow I have a free day. Well Helena and Winnie are here and we are leaving Thursday morning. I’ll call before we leave. So are the girls bothering you? What do you mean Alice is missing? How the hell is she missing? Oh you have talked to her, so Tee she is not missing then, be grateful for the quiet time. I know that was not nice, but hey we are talking about Alice. OK OK changing the subject, how about fooling around? Send her out for a walk and your father too. I guess its time for me to get some sleep. I am beat, so baby I’ll call you tomorrow. I love you too. Give Tessa a big kiss for me. Good night".

    I hung up the telephone and slid into the lumpy bed at “Helle Hotel” in Pontypool England, with the wind whistling away and my drink in my hand. Hmmmmm… maybe that was Alice, what the hell is she doing in this Helle hole and what type of convention is going on? Maybe I will check that out in the morning, I am in need of stimulation right about now.

    Well my adventure in that shower was again something I will always remember… Looking in the bathroom… water was every where… well I guess I won’t be drying my hair in here, no wonder the hair dryer in near the bed. And that mirror… to see myself I have to be on my knees…

    7. So vert happy to see your poat,Missed it so much. If your pain is your back or knee that to will past. I got really sick in Oct and finally the Doctors found the trouble. Thanks goodness had surgery the 15of May and I feel like a new person. Not new I’m still 76 I love how Bette sneaked in on Tina. It was funny and sad that she had to be away from the baby.they do gtow so fast. Get to feeling better and write more. thanks bvh

Upon reading this chapter and the previous one, I thought Helena set her up, and it seem that I miss the transition from her talking to MG and Janice and how she was back home at the front door. PS. It was a joy to see Tibette at the Convention, but I fell in love with Rachel Shelley at that convention, and I think I actually rememebr you and your shirt.
