Tina takes Bette into her arms…
Bette: Tee… I missed her so much… and when ever I tried to ask Melvin… he would just yell at me… saying bad things about her… like forget her… she doesn’t love you any more… and always remember who loves you… who works and who makes money so you can have every thing to want and need… and then I would go to my room and cry some more… saying to no one… all I wanted was my mommy…

Tina: we are going to find her… babe trust me we will find her and get her side of the story if nothing else…
Bette: where would we look… I haven’t got a clue…
Tina: that’s why they have private investigators… we will hire the best…
Bette: what if…
Tina: Bette… from little you have just told me… that woman didn’t want to leave you… I have a bad feeling she was pushed out…
Bette: I have felt that for years…
Tina: babe for you I would move mountains… just for you… remember that…
Bette had this look… Tina was just watching… like she was remembering something…
Tina: what did you just remember…
Bette: man you can read me like a book… and I did remember something… it’s cute actually… when ever she had something for me she would say this is for you… and I would say that’s "4 Lizzie-Bette"… She would just light up when ever I said my name…
Tina: OMG babe that’s so cute…
Bette: Elizabeth is a hard name for a kid to say… and when ever se would finish a painting… that’s how she would sign it… the number "4 Lizzie-Bette"
Tina: we will find her… yes we will find her… our kids can’t have to many grandmothers…
Bette: ok lets do this… lets see if we can find my mother… but one thing…
Tina: what…
Bette: after the show… I will have enough on my mind…
Tina: after the show will be a good time to start… that way I can research private investigators… and then we will see what needs to be done first… you don’t have any pictures of her do you…
Bette: (Bette just about lit up)… As a matter of fact I do… after she left Melvin made every family picture that had her in it disappear… but I found one about a week after she left and I hid it under my pillow… I was so scared he would find it… so I hid it where no one would ever find it… and I just happen to have the item I hid it behind…
Tina: it’s here…
Bette: yep… I forgot about it, but its never left me… come on I’ll show you…
Tina: what now… Bette we are in bed… and in case you forgotten… we are naked…
Bette: Tee… first of all I never would forget you were naked with me in our bed… but its not far… in fact its right here in our room… just turn on a light… and you stay in bed…
Bette gets up and walks over to her luggage makeup bag… as Tina watches… now knowing why she always carried that make up bag even though it never matched her luggage…
Bette: this was my mothers travel make up bag… I took it after she left, told Melvin I needed a place for my dolls… he didn’t even know what or who’s it was… and he didn’t really care… but see right here between the lining… there it is… I haven’t seen this in years… (She shows Tina)
Tina: OMG… Bette you look so much like her… she was beautiful…
Bette: I guess I do look like her… its been so long since I saw this picture… I wonder how she looks today…
Tina: well we are going to find out… soon babe… soon…

Just got out of the hospital from a weeks stay and read the last two posted chapters, this story never gets old, I love how you portray Tina and Bette. I have a sense that Patrick is either Bette’s mother in a changed form or at least somehow has a connection. Keep dong what you do, but try not to saty away too long before the next post. You are one of the best writers that I love to read.
Whew! You can still light them on fire. The story just keeps getting better and better after all this time. I emailed you some time ago but maybe you didn’t get it? Did you get your DVD copy of L5 as yet? any more news about L8? Glad to see you got your writing mojo back and Happy B-Day!!!
