Tina: Hi babe… I love you waking me this way…
Bette: And I love waking you up… how you are feeling… (As she now kisses her belly)… and you my baby Tee… we can’t wait to meet you and hold you and love you even more then we do now… just between me and you… I think your mommy’s upset with someone… I know it’s not you… and I pray it’s not me…
Tina: (Smiling)… Your both in the clear… even though I know, I’m going to have my hands full with the two of you…
Bette: So come on tell me what’s bothering you…
Bette sits back in the bed and Tina moves into her arms…
Tina: Every time you hold me like this, I know we can handle any thing that comes our way… today at the luncheon… you’ll never guess who was there…
Bette: Do you want me to guess… or are you going to tell me…
Tina: Your father…
Bette: What…

Tina: Well I saw a man standing on the other side of the room… and I thought it was him… since I only met him once… but when Scott brought him over to met me and Jill… and his name was Melvin…
Bette: Did he remember you…
Tina: No… but he loved the fact that I am pregnant… The way he was talking… he said and I quote… "Children are a blessing from God… you and your Husband must be very happy" end of quote…
Bette: Did you tell him no but your wife is ecstatic…
Tina: Believe me I wanted to… but Jill, God love her… she pulled me away saying someone wanted to talk to us…
Bette: I guess that was the right thing to do…
Tina: Oh there’s more…
Bette: Now I can’t wait..
Tina: He was bragging about his daughters… well the Yale Grad… and that she is beautiful and he wanted to know if Scott was single so he could hook you two up…
Bette laughs…
Tina: Well its funny now… but Scott told him he was happily married… wait till he finds out that Melvin is my Father-In-Law and he wanted to fix him up with my wife… and the best part of my afternoon… are you ready…
Bette: I’m ready…
Tina: He is going to the opening on Saturday night… seems he is friends with Anthony, that’s why he personally came to this opening… wait till he finds out his OTHER daughter is starring in the movie… and his Daughter-In-Law was part of the devolvement team…
Bette: We need to give Kit a heads up…
Tina: I must say you are taking this rather well…
Bette: Is he also going to the Christmas party tomorrow…
Tina: No he said he had another engagement… he is quite the smooth talker…
Bette: That he is… as long as you’re not one of his daughters..
Tina: And not Gay…
Bette: I wonder if that was him who was calling me before… I never answered my cell…
Tina: Well this would be a good time to check…

Hello Amanda, Great to have you back and posting more of this delicious and delightful drama. I just love how Bette and Tina are with each other in your words. The love and respect they have for each other is amazing. I am sure things will be cleared up with Melvin. I do hope this grandchild can smooth over the troubles of the past. This will only work if Melvin accepts that Bette is gay and that Tina is her wife. Interesting times ahead. Many thanks from Your Loyal Fan.

Hi, it is good to see that you are on the mend. Poor Melvin, first he will gasp when he see that Kit is in the movie and performing so well, then just when his head isgrowing and his chest is puffing up with pride for his daughte; he will get hit with credits to Tina. Talking about going from a high to a low. After Anothiny introduces Kit as his gf, he will be looking for an explanation about the credits. Oh what a party that will be. PPS :o).
