Bette’s Dilemma-The Confrontation Pt 2
The Confrontation Pt 2
Bette was pleased to realize once she and Tina had entered Dante’s that it was fuller than usual at this time of day. The more people present the more likely Jodi would be to keep their conversation civil. Not that causing a scene mattered that much to Jodi usually but the subject matter of this meeting was something Bette was quite sure she would not want broadcasted for all the patrons to hear. Feeling Tina’s touch on her elbow Bette refocused her attention on Tina’s words.
"Let’s sit here" indicating a table with a good view of the door but slightly to one side Tina draped her purse across the back of the chair closest to her and sat down decisively with her back to the door.
Smiling to herself at Tina’s purposefulness Bette walked around the elegantly set table and took the chair facing the door. Jodi when she came would find herself seated between them — a position that would illustrate graphically that she was not in control of this meeting and was most decidedly outnumbered.
As she glanced at her watch Bette replied "This will work just fine love and since it is almost 3:00 it gives me just enough time to do this before Jodi arrives"
Leaning across the table she caught Tina’s lips in a kiss full of passion and promise that caused the blonde’s heart to gasp in surprise. Somewhere over their time apart Tina realized Bette had lost her reticence to show public affection and her spirit soared at being the recipient of the benefits.
(Bette pulling away slowly) "Soon this will be over baby and we can leave the past in the past and I am so looking forward to getting on with our future."
As she sat back in her seat Bette noticed Jodi entering Dante’s. The sculptor had worn not the usual casual clothing that worked best for her art but a tailored business suit in a deep shade of heather that Bette quickly realized had been a gift from her on Jodi’s last birthday. Jodi rarely dressed for any occasion. It appeared that her suspicions about what Jodi would be willing to do or not do to protect her secret had not been too far off base. Looking around the restaurant Jodi’s gaze locked with Bette’s and she headed toward the table.

Bette was so the alpha Bette but much more muture. Jodie felt that Tina would fight for Bette. That said dont mess with my family. Jodie will not work again if she doesnt come clean. To me she cheated the world of Art,by not being trueful. thanks
Is the dilemma over? I feel its not :)
I am glad that Tina was there to support Bette in the difficult confrontation with Jodi. Bette standing firm and strong with Jodi seems to have closed a door for her and allowed both Tina and Bette to move forward. I look forward to “executive training”. :)
Jodi really is a bitch. How can she blame Bette for protecting herself? It was Jodi who started this mess. If she had not accussed Bette of taking advantage of her then none of this would have happened. Thank you for the post.
glad jodi’s sorted…pps
loved how B&T worked together so that Jodi realized how serious they were about fighting her accusations & that their relationship was solid….excellent post, bring on the executive training! ;)
this Bette is so mature and amazing, I love the fact that she has grown into a responsible sensitive women, Tina is a great partner and they are incredible together and complete each other, your style is breath taking and so evolved, your story is one of the kind that you want to read more than once. Thank you so much for the never ending pleasure and post soon.
Leesa, this chappy was a delight to read, as you have described thoroughly how Bette has grown as a person and her determination to fight to get her family back, as well as show Tina that she’s more comfortable to let her vulnerable side surface, thereby indicating the complete trust that she said she will put in Tina’s care. Beautiful display of the confrontation. You did an amazing job here. Thanks for sharing. PPS Lucero & Marsha – From Mexico City
Now there is the question…Is the Dilemma over? let’s just say there are a few more chapters left
