Chapter Fifteen

Bette held on to Tina for a long while. She was so happy that the blonde had forgiven or at least given her the chance to explain.

“I really am sorry Tina. I never meant for any of this to happen. I was just stupid to keep that video on my computer. ”

“Yes you were” Tina was still a little bitter towards Bette. She knew now wasn’t the time to be mad at the brunette. Right now they had to figure out who was behind this sickening prank. “The important thing right now is to find out who really did this”

Bette nodded into Tina’s shoulders.

Right there and then the blonde lost her resolve again in less than twenty-four hours. “Why, Bette” Tina sobbed into her shoulders.

Tears filled Bette’s eyes too as she heard the wretched sobs coming from Tina. “Because I thought getting back at you would make you feel the humiliation…… I felt every day at your hands.”

Tina’s guilt returned “I apologized before” She pulled out of the embrace to stare at Bette “…and now I’m gonna apologize again. I’m really sorry, Bette”

“You don’t have to apologize again, Tee” Bette said smiling through her own tears “I’m the idiot here. I should have gotten rid of the video but I…I…I truly don’t know why I kept it. I guess, I always get this feeling that you would have eventually gotten over your infatuation with me and leave me” Bette avoided eye contact with Tina. The tears burning her eyes, her throat clogged up she barely managed “…. and go back to your heterosexual lifestyle” That was Bette’s worst nightmare. That the blonde would just label this time as a phase and go back to men.

Tina laughed surprising Bette. She raised Bette’s chin so that she could look the brunette straight in the eyes. “That will never happen” she meant it “After being with a woman I can never look at a man the same again. You’ve changed me Bette, for the better. I love you” With that declaration she sealed it with a passionate kiss.

A kiss that conveyed the love and passion they felt for each other. Bette kissed Tina everywhere on the lips, cheeks and eyelids. She never wanted another person the way she wanted the blonde. People might say she was too young to know about love but Bette knew different. She saw her future with the blonde, marriage, a house and kids.
