    The next day. Bette is a little better and worried about Tina.

    Tina had a very restless night as she kept waking to check on Bette, who looked like she was sleeping like a baby. Even though Bette did not seem uncomfortable, Tina could not help but struggle with the tense feeling inside her that something was wrong.  After tossing and turning and trying to force herself to go back to sleep, Tina gave up and got up out of bed and decided to do some work for a while.

     

    Bette woke up a couple of hours later to find herself alone in bed. She frowned and looked around the room. There was no sign of Tina.  Bette yelled out “Tee?”

     

    Tina came running into the room looking alarmed with wide eyes and panic and said “Bette? Are you ok? What is wrong?”

     

    Bette said “Honey you need to relax. I am ok. I just woke up and you weren’t here with me and I missed you. Can you get back in bed with me?”

     

    Tina smiled softly and said “Yeah, I can.”

     

    Bette said “What were you doing out there?”

     

    Tina said “I was just doing some work.”

     

    Bette said “Am I keeping you from work you need to be doing being needy?”

     

    Tina said “No, I couldn’t sleep and gave up and started to check my email and do some work.”

     

    Bette said “Why can’t you sleep honey?”

     

    Tina said “I was really worried about you Bette. The vomiting seem to come out of the clear blue sky and I guess I had my guard down a bit while we were in the hospital that if something went wrong, I would have help.  I feel responsible for you and I was worried that something was really wrong”.

     

    Bette said “I am feeling much better and really hungry this morning!”

     

    Tina said “I can order some room service or we can go down to the hotel restaurant and eat together”.

     

    Bette furrowed her brow and said “I don’t want to take the chance to run into you know who Tina. I can’t handle that right now, so let’s just call room service and sit together here and eat, ok?”

     

    Tina said “Sure Bette.”

    2. Great chapter. REally hope jodi is still not in the hospital and that she has gone back to LA and left them alone. It’s good that they are taking care of each other and can see the need that each other has. The sooner Bette is well the quicker they can get back to Angie. Thanks for posting.

    5. YAY! I love a happy Tina and Bette! I love stories where the drama occurs from the OUTSIDE and they stick together to ward off the EVIL that conspires against them!     7. Love this story! So, is Bette’s leg in a cast or something for her to be able to walk to the door? I love her attention in this chapter to Tina. PPS

    8. I’m so glad to see this story back! I think it’s really sweet that they are both more concerned about each other than they are for themselves. I hope Bette continues to improve quickly.

    10. That’s the way it should be. I take care of you and you take care of me. I hope that what was wrong with Bette is what the doctor said, and not Jodi down in the hotel putting something in their food.
