Shane felt a weight pressing on her chest and slowly opened one eye and then the other. She saw Anitas arm wrapped around her waist and her head was gently resting against her shoulder. Their legs were entwined with each other. Shane let her senses take in the feel of Anitas body against her own. Her skin tingled slightly where they touched and she closed her eyes. This was the first time shed actually slept with a girl. Spent the night with her without leaving before the girl woke up. Except of course for Alice who had let her crash at her place countless times. Shane had to admit it didnt feel half bad. Of course ideally she would preferred there to have been ***** before the cuddling rather than after. The thought of ***** after cuddling made her smile. Snapping back to reality she let out a curse under her breath and reproached herself for even thinking it. Especially now that she couldnt even be sure if it was a womans free will that lead her to her or her freakish powers.

Are you alright? Anita asked her voice heavy with sleep. She lifted her head from Shanes shoulder and pulled away from her self-consciously. She couldnt believe how good it had felt just lying there. Shed just woken moments before and had found her body entangled with Shanes. Her first impulse had been to pull away but somehow her body had refused to do what her mind was trying to will it to do. Finally she had just relented and tried to get back to sleep. Hearing Shane muttering a curse however had made her get up.

Im sorry, Shane said reluctantly removing her hand from Anitas waist. I didnt mean to wake you.

You didnt, Anita replied quickly, I was awake. I just didnt feel like getting up thats all. Anita snapped her mouth shut the moment she saw Shane look at her curiously.

I wanna tell you something, Shane started before Anita could make matters worse by saying something stupid.

About what happened at Jean Claudes earlier Anita nodded encouraging her to continue.

I swear I didnt mean for any of that to happen. It was just like this thing I couldnt control. I never meant to do that to you. I sure as ***** wouldnt do anything to deliberately hurt you or anyone else for that matter. Its just Anita silenced Shane by putting her fingers on her lips. Shane sucked in a breath when she felt the soft touch of Anitas fingers on her lips. Without thinking she placed a soft kiss on them. She anxiously looked at Anita fully expecting her to pull back or yell or something but Anita just stayed frozen. Then she slowly removed her fingers from her lips and softly trailed them down Shanes jaw.

Its ok Dont worry about it, she whispered as her fingers continued their exploration. Shanes skin felt so soft under her touch. It was so much different from the people she usually got to touch. It was soft and feminine. Shed imagined touching her so many times, but the real thing was so much better. She felt the heat start to flare in her body again. The next time she spoke their faces were only inches apart.

I know you wouldnt hurt me. Shane felt Anitas hot breath caress her skin and she leaned towards her. Anita instinctively inclined her head to one side her hand still on Shanes cheek. Their lips almost touching Shane paused.

Do you want me to stop? her voice husky with need. Before Anita could answer, there was a soft knock on the door. The two women abruptly broke apart as the door opened a crack and Nathaniel stuck his head through it.

Oh youre up, he said a little surprised.

Yeah we just woke up. Is everything alright? Nathaniel hesitated distracted by the position the two women were in. Their legs were still entwined and Anita was partially resting on Shanes arm. He could also taste the desire in the room.

Nathaniel? Anita urged.

Uhm Its Alice

What about Alice? Shane asked suddenly wide-awake.

Shes gone.

What do you mean shes gone? Anita demanded. He shrugged.

Just that. Dana woke up five minutes ago to find her gone. I ran into her in the hallway. Weve checked the entire house and shes not here. He paused. And the cars gone. Anita jumped out of bed and moved towards the door. Part of her regretted leaving Shane in that bed all alone. A larger part of her however was relieved that she didnt have to deal with her emotions. At least not at the moment.

***** Al, what are you up to now? Shane asked the empty room.
