Tina walked by the side of Gemma towards the Mustang that even though was over Thirty five years old still looked like new, which gave Tina the impression Gemma looked after her most prized possessions, Gemma walked over to the passenger side and opened the door for Tina to climb in, Tina smiled and got in the passenger side and waited for Gemma to get in the drivers seat, Gemma looked across at Tina and smiled So are you as nervous as me Gemma asked looking directly at Tina, Tina smiled and nodded, Well at least you didnt have to meet my family on the first date you will have to travel nine hours to do that Gemma smiled at Tina indicating that what she had just said was a Joke to try and make Tina feel less nervous than she was So Gemma where you taking me? asked Tina, Gemma placed the keys in the ignition and looked over at Tina Its a surprise Tina felt intrigued by the comment Gemma had just made, but in a second Tina thought about Bette and wanted her to be saying those words to her not just some stranger, Tina thought to herself why was she thinking of Bette when she was sat next to some beautiful female who on they first date was trying to make her feel at ease, she needed to give Gemma a chance how was she to know that Tina was still very much in Love with Bette, Bette her soul mate the one who loved her for seven years, the one who made her the person she was today, the one who had broken her heart by cheating on her, Tinas mind was flooding with thoughts, when the car came to stop outside a tall building where here Tina would you like to Follow me, Tina smiled as she got out of the car, Gemma walked around to the passenger side and locked the door, she gently took hold of Tinas hand and led her into this tall dark mysterious building.

Gemma pressed the button to call the lift Tina was still holding Gemmas hand, Gemmas hand seemed tiny almost like a childs the softness of the hand some how comforted Tina and in that second she forgot the pain that lingered in her heart.
The lift arrived and Tina and Gemma stepped inside, Gemmas hand still softly holding onto Tinas and never wanting to let go, Gemma Pressed for the 5th Floor as the Lift door closed.

When the lift opened on the 5th Floor Tina stepped out first, it seemed they had entered to what seemed like the roof of the tall building, Tina looked around in the centre she saw a gazebo and two Paraffin heaters at either side of the gazebo, tiny candles lit the all area around the roof top, under the gazebo was a table set for two, with a single pink Rose in the middle of the table, Tina looked around to see Gemmas Face, You did all this Gemma nodded and took hold of Tinas hand led her to the table and pulled out a seat for Tina to sit down, Gemma sat opposite Tina and smiled So Tina what would you like to drink Tina hadnt thought about this she knew she wasnt Drinking due to her pregnancy, but would Gemma have any soft drinks or water, she didnt want to seem un polite What have you got? Tina asked hoping that Gemma would have thought about everything Well lets see there is red and white wine beer or theres water or sprite? Gemma had taken care of all her needs so far Could I have the sprite please Tina replied, Of Course I think I will have the same, Gemma went across toward the wall and lifted two bottles of sprite out of the cooler which she had placed there earlier, she then walked over to Tina and sat down, Gemma poured the two sprite into the glasses on the table holding the glass up to Tina A toast to new friends and new beginnings Tina smiled and clinked the glass with Gemma, when ever you would like to eat let me know and all I need to do is make a quick call and the food will be here ok Tina nodded and smiled.

Five minutes of a empty silence prompted Tina to make the first attempt at a conversation, So Gemma what do you do Gemma smiled glad that she didnt have to break the silence well I kind of work in the music business not that interesting really what do you do Tina smiled she knew Gemma was being reserved about telling her what she did as a living Tina thought this was cute and not big headed like she had expected, the way Alice had gone on and on about what Gemma did for a living, Im kind of between things now Tina smiled over the last year she hadnt been working just volunteering hoping to get pregnant so her and Bette could be parents, and now she was her heart filled with sorrow as Bette wasnt around like she should be and she couldnt even tell Bette or the rest of her closest friends.

Gemma and Tina talked over every little subject that popped into her mind until Tina asked if it was ok to eat, Gemma made the call and the waiter appeared at the Elevator door, pushing a the serving tray the waiter approached the table and placed two plates in front of Gemma and Tina, Tina smelt the meal drift past her and couldnt wait to tuck into the meal which had been prepared, Tina looked on her plate So whats this we are eating then? Gemma smiled Well you are eating toad in the Hole I gave the chef the recipe myself Tina seemed impressed and tucked into the meal.

After the meal the waiter came and took they plates away he asked Gemma if she would need any more service, in which response Gemma indicated no, Gemma looked across at Tina Are you warm enough Tina smiled and nodded, So Tina would you mind if I put a cd in Tina smiled are all British ladys so polite or was this just a put on, Tina looked across at Gemma Of course you go right ahead she was dying to ask Gemma more about her job and thought this could become the perfect opportunity, Gemma walked over to the midi hi-fi system and pressed play, the music bounded of the four walls surrounding them, I dont think I ever heard this music before what do you call the band artist? Gemma smiled even though she was reserved to start with, Music was her passion and loved the fact Tina was intrigued with the Music playing Erm this is the Music of a Irish band, the band consist of three sisters and a brother, they called The Corrs Tina smiled as she took in the Music, So Gemma have you worked with these Artists Gemma smiled how could she have possibly known No I havent but I think I would like to Gemma rubbed the bottom of her chin, Tina was sure this was a nervous gesture Sorry I didnt mean to make you nervous, you remember Alice at The Planet, well she has been trying to Interview you since like forever Gemma looked over at Tina Really know body as I am aware as tried to Interview me, or wait hold on about four months ago, this reporter for MTV was interviewing me and it kind of went wrong, and after that I said no more interviews Tina smiled Why was that?, sorry I dont mean to be rude Gemma shuck her head and reached out for Tinas hand No Tina you could never be rude Gemma gently caressed the skin on Tinas hand This reporter was more interested in why I have moved to America, she had got hold of some of my personnel history, and it was to intense I prefer to talk about the Lyrics and not why I decided to Move to America thats all Tina held Gemmas hand Your right why do people believe that your personnel business is theres to use as they see fit Tinas mind fell back to Bettes interview on TV when she was defending her work, and Fay Buckley had ripped open Her Bettes heart, she knew how Gemma felt know ones history should be opened for a quick just then the music filled the silence.

Gemma got up and gave Tina her hand Care to Dance The Corrs music surrounded the walls Tina stood up and took the Tiny hand into hers, Gemma took Tina into her arms The chorus sang Beautifully as the words of Runaway surrounded there bodies, Tina felt Gemmas heart rate get faster, she couldnt understand why Gemma was still so nervous, Tina looked down at the bodies and couldnt believe she couldnt tell where her body began and where Gemmas ended, Tina looked into Gemmas eyes and all of a sudden felt Gemmas lips meet hers, the soft embrace made Tina tremble she felt like her knees where about to give way, The only woman she had ever kissed was Bette, her Bette what was she doing but some how she couldnt break away from this soft embrace, her heart was telling her too but her Mind wouldnt allow it too, the kiss lasted forever, when Gemma finally broke away I like you Tina, and I would love to get to know you better she broke away from Tinas embrace So is it ok if we take things slowly Tina smiled this Girl seemed to have read her mind, Yeah course we can Gemma smiled she took hold of Tinas hand Come here I want to show you something Gemma took hold of Tinas hand and took her towards the wall on the roof top When I feel my life couldnt get much worse or my past comes flooding back to me, I come here and look out, Because I know that for every light that is on out there, they just have as many problems as me Tina looked at all the lights and knew that what Gemma had said was right, life has fate and life is a roller coaster, Tina I have seen you for a month now and even though it was from a distance, I have seen a change in you tonight you seem to have stopped worrying about what ever your beautiful eyes showed! For this I am glad and I hope I am the reason Tina smiled and knew in her heart Gemma was right, she knew Gemma wanted to kiss her again but she held back, Tina looked across at Gemma and did something she thought she would never do, Tina leaned across and gently kissed her Lips the soft embrace seemed like fate, maybe Gemma was here to mend her Heart, but in some ways she knew Gemma wouldnt be forever her Heart would always belong to Bette.

Gemma drove up to Tinas apartment building and looked across at Tina Thank you for an amazing night Tina Tina smiled No thank you Tina smiled she knew the night had to end some time soon but Tina didnt want it to end now Gemma would you like to come up for coffee before you head home Gemma smiled Erm no Id prefer Tea if thats ok? Tina smiled Gemma had a sarcastic wit that made Tina smile every time You can have tea thats ok I dont really like coffee Gemma smiled as they both got out of the car and walked towards the apartment building.
