CHAPTER 32 (EPILOGUE)
Bette watched Tina from across the room. Tina, unaware of Bette’s intense stare, continued to set the table, whispering to her mother and laughing. Bette would never tire of the Kennard laugh, it just wasn’t possible – though she couldn’t tell what it exactly was that made her fall harder – the sound of the boisterous laugh, or the effervescent smile that graced her lover’s lips.
Bette had flown in from California early yesterday morning, bringing with her the last of her possessions. She was officially a New Yorker now. The Bureau had made good on its promise and had seen to it that Bette had been able to find an apartment within a comfortable walking distance from Tina’s place. The lovers had spent most of the day and the entire evening making love, thanks to Tina taking it upon herself to have the apartment set up and ready for Bette’s return. The brunette looked briefly at her glass as she downed the last of her wine, and then returned her gaze to the woman that had completely stolen and captivated her heart.
"You better be looking at the younger Kennard and not the older. You keep your mitts off my wife." Mr. Kennard laughed and clapped Bette’s shoulder, squeezing her gently before removing his hand.
Bette smiled and looked over her shoulder, "There’s only one Kennard I have eyes for and you should know that considering you and your wife were the ones that pushed us together. You and your plans."
"We did nothing of the sort. You guys were goofy in love and it was obvious to everyone but the two of you crazies."
"Your daughter is pretty amazing, you know."
"I know. I’m just glad you’re smart enough to see it."
Bette stood and stretched her long legs, "I’m going to get some more wine. You want another beer?"
"That would be wonderful. Do me a favor; try to find out when that Goddamn turkey is going to be ready. At this rate I’ll die before she even pulls it out of the oven."
Bette shook her head and laughed, greeting the two busy Kennard women in the kitchen. Bette leaned in and kissed Tina on the neck as she reached over the blonde’s shoulder to get a bottle of wine.

All great things comes in threes – right? We definitely need to know if they made it through the night, being on that hard cold flor and then there is Bette`s new work, the decision to move in together – really the list is so long. So a sequel to the epilogue would be awesome.

Thanks for the additional chapter. I love to see how Tina and Bette enjoyed the holidays. I always thought that it sucks that the TV Show never, celebrated the holidays. That was just beautiful. Thanks for sharing your talents.
