Can the Tide be Changed ~ Part XVIII

Tina was surprised when Kathleen called and asked to meet at The Planet to give her an update on the Joyce Wischnia case, but she readily agreed.  Bringing a fresh face to The Planet was always entertaining.  She liked Kathleen and could use a break from the office.  When the captivating red head made her way to Tina’s table it definitely turned a few heads.  Lara came out of the kitchen to get approval from Kit on the next order for the kitchen.

    “Whose the redhead?”  Lara asked.

“I don’t know but Tina better not be stepping out on my sister at The Planet.”

“Kit if Tina was going to cheat on Bette she wouldn’t bring her here for everyone to see.”

“She did it before with Helena.”  Kit said recalling Tina bringing Helena to Dana’s bachelorette party and The Planet many times afterwards.

“That was different, they were separated, Bette had just cheated on Tina with the carpenter.”

“True and I told her what foolish dawg she’d been, but you should have seen the look on my baby sis’s face when Tina walked in here with the Brit bearing gifts.”

“Alice told me.  Hmm, I wonder if Alice knows who she is.”   Lara took her phone out of her pocket, snapped a picture and sent it to Alice.

“We don’t need to wait for Alice.  Give me a couple of scones.”

Lara retrieved the scones and handed them to Kit.  Kit made her way over to the table.

“Hey girl, how are you doing and more importantly, how is my favorite niece?  I thought you and your friend might want to try Lara’s fresh baked scones.”

“Thanks Kit.  We’re both fine.  I want you to meet Kathleen Shea she’s doing some work for me.  Hopefully, after she has one of Lara’s blueberry scones she’ll become a regular at The Planet.

“Nice to meet you Kit.  I hear you’ve done a lot to improve this place.  Thanks for the scones.  If they’re half as good as my grandmum’s you’ll get tired of my face.”  Kathleen flashed Kit one of her brightest smiles, in fact, it was a little like Bette’s.  Kit was determined to not let herself be charmed by the twinkle in her green eyes.

    1. Well, well, well, look who came back. And about time, too! Like Bette I want to know what Kathleen was prevented from saying. And how about an update on the Wishniac? And as long as I have the comment box, will we ever return to the Weho West?

    2. Wow, thanks for updating this story. They do need to nail Joyce to the wall. Thanks for allowing Tina more written time. I miss her and Bette in the same room.

    3. Yay! Glad you brought this story back…it’s been missed. Been wondering what’s going on with them. What was Alice going to say this time??? Please keep posting…this is a good one!

    4. Dear MadC, just catching up on you story. Thanks for giving Helena a chance to date again. And I can’t wait to hear the description of B&T&A’s ‘new’ house. Thanks again for writing!
