Bette pulled me against her body. Her arm hooked softly my neck and she gave me a quick peck.

    “Yeah, sweetheart…I’m dying to know…”

“I don’t know if you remember, but I recall, the day when I first saw you.

I entered at your class, laughing with Al, and I just didn’t see you standing there. God…We… I… collided with you.” Bette laughed to the moon. I would never forgot this scene…

“I didn’t know this new hotshot professor, I was late, I was far from discrete and I ran into someone at the door of her… of your class. God! I felt like Jerry Lewis.

“But what I saw was Carole Lombard, darling… Carole Lombard…” Bette commented, and I could see she was also reviving our story.

“I promptly began to recollect my belongings and I saw that pair of hands helping me. When I raised my eyes I found this…this…WOMAN. The essence of the word, in all it could mean…And your smile…? Light, heat and smoke: fire! I felt my arms got weak and the notebooks, books; everything went to the floor again!”

Til these days you can make me flush with the memory.

    “GOD! Sooo  Inspector Closeau…”

“No…Babe… You were a delightful mix of Holly Golightly…Ninotchka …and why not Sugar Kane Kowalczyck …But your arms: Sarah Connors…” Bette rolled her eyes with pleasure…I flexed my right arm and looked to my biceps.

    “Do you like my arms?”

“No, babe…I love your strong arms…” And Bette kissed my upper arm.

“You know how to conquer a girl, Bette…” I have to smile. Audrey Hepburn and the sweet; aggressive, fragile and cruel; Miss Golightly, a kind of Lolita who throw her innocence through the window. Greta Garbo , Marilyn Monroe. Plus Linda Hamilton!? Could you explain to me how could avoid been head over heels in love with this woman?

“It´s only the truth, darling…” Bette repeated.

I lost myself inside those pools, her eyes… And I tell you that with those pair of eyes and that smile, Bette could convince anyone of anything. Words disappeared from my mind for seconds.

“Anyway…There I was…looking at you for the first time. I couldn´t say a word and you talked with that fucking sexy voice: “Good to have you here, Miss..?”  Oh, dear lord…!…I felt hard. Hard…Hard! Alice was the one who answered for me. “Miss Kennard! Her name is Christina Kennard. And I am Alice…How about you, gorgeous?! Asked a delighted Alice, ultra-forwardly to you! I still can see your eyes reaching hers. You gave me your hand and I stood up. “You can call me Bette, because I don’t like professor Porter…” Fuck! I was having fun with the blush that consumed Alice. But more than that I was marveled with the sparks that flew from your eyes, Bette…”

    1. Oh WOW Braz that was awesome, loved how Tina and Bette were remembering how they first met and how they first found out they loved one another,,,thank you for a brilliant chapter!!

    2. Once again, you have me sitting here with a very big smile on my face. You bring so much love into your stories, that balances itself out with the right amount of passion and fire. To have them both loving one another so deeply, and sharing such beautiful moments together just brightens my night. Thanks again my sweet friend. Love and Hugs! xoxo

    3. Come on sweetheart this is no coincidence my (and I have to say this) marvelous daughter her name is … Anaïs because I am really into this name and the history of Anaïs Nin. Just tell me: you are european and you know French. I speak also French. Want a try ? I really love you for all this and I am looking for someone to write a story here involving one of the greatest photographers. Can we talk about that ? Take care.

    6. Haaaa… I knew I shouldn’t have gone to bed so early yesterday… but I was too tired to wait for another post… ;-) — well, here I am :-) — that post with B&T sharing their memories and first loves was nice and tender…, and so, soo true : how, when we fall in love, we want to know “all” about our beloved one, including past loves… and how sometimes we hurt ourselves with those, being jealous of a past that we obviously COULD NOT take part, especially when the age gap is more than 10 years ;-) — and I have the feeling that Tina is more jealous of Bette’s past than the opposite… — I also wondered whether you would bring that to the surface, whether you did not remember about it or you intentionally had gone over it : Bette is “married” and if I recall well the 1st post : “very well married…” ;-)) — I intended to ask you about it today, but you were quicker LOL…… now, what do we know about that “wife/husband” (post 11 : “no wife around” and intimates “Dane, Helena and Kit, in alphabetical order.”)…… sooooo : what are you cooking here ?…… I can see a very dark cloud growing on the horizon… is this still the season for tropical storms ?… well, I really hope that this will just be a warm summer rain, the kind you (and I) delight dancing in it while it pours above you… but, hhhmmmm… I’ll try and do like Tina, not think about it… not talk about it… pretend it doesn’t exist and hope it will spare me ;-) — thanks again for another beautiful post, Honey – XOXOXO

    7. God that was good! (Soft Spoken Secrets too, but I was just too lazy to comment), Don’t tear them apart please, it’s Christmas, you can’t do that to us (that doesn’t mean you can after christmas^^). I’ve got to admit I’ve never tried Portuguese, one more on my to-do list. Chinese is weird but really good by the way!

    8. Your chapters never cease to amaze me. I love how Bette and Tina remember their first encounters and the moment of falling completely and totally in love with one another. Beautiful!!!
