After Jodie left ,Bette decided to get some fresh air and clear her head. there was no sense in sitting around when she knew she wouldn’t be able to get any work done.she got in her car and and drove out the parking lot.she was seething…as she came to the red light she rest her head on the steering wheel.

Jodie’s ego was monstrous and insufferable.How dare her talk to her like that  just because she hadn’t let their few dinner dates develop into sleep_overs?

it wasn’t that she was uptight about sex,she just hadn’t met that someone who she wanted to spend every night with.she loved women and loved to be loved by them…she loved relationships_just the ones with no emotional entanglements.she just was not ready to settle down.

Am i an emotional cripple with no capacity to love?…i knew this was not going to be a very good day from the moment my alarm went off.what i need is someone who i can unburden on with an entirely objective ear.

to the annoyance of other motorists ,when the lights changed,Bette switched lanes suddenly and instead of going straight,made a right turn.

I Need to get out of here for a couple hours or i’m gonna go mad.Tina gathered the papers on her desk and put them in a neat little pile on her desk.just as she was about to leave the intercom on her desk started to buzz annoyingly.

"yes Kate,what’s the urgency?"

"I’M sorry to bother you but Helena is on line 2"

"fuck!,can this day get any worse? tell her i’m not in.

" I did but she’s insisting on talking to you"

"well tell her again".

"you might as well talk to her Tina because she’s insisting that if you wont talk to her on the phone then she’ll just have to come here and talk to you in person___and what’s wrong with you ,why are you avoiding Helena…?Is there something you’re not telling me?

‘FUCK!,put her through,and stop looking at me like that, i’m fine."

"Hi.where have you been keeping yourself?"

Tina’s  flagging spirits sank even lower when she heard Helena’s voice on the other line.

"why have you been avoiding me ,Tina?"

‘I haven’t ,i’ve been very busy"
