Alice was driving home thinking back on her relationship with Dana. She smiled as she remember when she first got introduced to the brunette. Bette was having a party for her after she found out Alice’s band got a record deal. It was a small party of mostly Alice and Bette’s mutual friends but there were a few people she didn’t know. As Alice was talking to her ex-girlfriend, Gabby, by the pool she noticed Tina and Bette walk over with a familiar looking and hot brunette. Tina simply placed herself directly in front of Gabby, pretending to not notice Gabby’s presence.

“Nice to see you too Kennard” Gabby said rolling her eyes as Tina turned around, feigning surprise.

“Oh Gabby, I didn’t see you there” Tina said acting fakely polite as Bette snickered to the side.

Gabby simply said, “Whatevs” With a flip of her hand and looked at Alice as she backed away “Alice, I’ll see you around” and turned around to walk away.

“I really hate her.” Tina stated simply before grabbing the aforementioned brunette’s hand and pulled her towards Alice. “Alice, I’d like you to meet our friend Dana.” Bette smiled as Dana blushed when Alice looked her up and down thinking she was being discreet.

“Dana. You have a last name Dana?” Alice said grinning as Dana nodded shyly, replying. “Fairbanks. Dana Fairbanks” As she shook Alice’s hand they both got suddenly excited and nervous at the feeling of contact.

Alice chuckled anxiously, “Like Bond. James Bond” Alice realized what she said and closed her eyes tightly in embarrassment before opening them and glaring at Bette when she snorted at Alice’s statement.

Fortunately, Dana smiled sweetly at how cute Alice was and nodded replying, “Ya, just like that”

Alice locked eyes with Dana and everyone disappeared. Bette and Tina noticed the connection between their friends and decided to walk away. “Well we’re gonna freshen our drinks” Tina said grabbing Bette’s hand and walking away back inside before Alice and Dana realized they were gone.

“So you know my full name but I still don’t know yours?” Dana said realizing how comfortable she suddenly felt around the blonde after the joke she made early. Dana motioned for Alice to sit down on the lounge chairs with her. They sat facing each other, knees almost touching causing them to get nervous again at their close proximity.
