The two women kissed and kissed until they had no more breath left and the burning in their chests was too much to bear. They broke away from each other lips but not from each other. They were still in contact with each other’s foreheads and where staring right into each other’s eyes. They both could see the love they had for each other all these years just in a simple look. A look that said they were simply meant to be.

“Dana?”

“Yeah Alice”

“Thanks”

“For what?”

“For putting yourself out there and being so sweet.”

Dana just blushed.

“Hey what time do you have to get the keys for your place?”

“At 2 o’clock.”

“Crap we had better get going then?”

“Dana?”

“Yes.”

“We are not done talking about this….about us are we? This isn’t were it ends is it?”

“Not by a long shot. You will be my girl, maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow but you will be my girl.”

Alice got the biggest smile on her face and that gave Dana an electrifying feeling inside. The women grabbed the blanket and headed over to Alice’s new place.

“Wow Alice this is place is just a few blocks from Bette and Tina’s.”

“Well I had a pretty sweet job in New York working for Glamour.”

“Really I didn’t know that’s who you where working for?”

“So I saved some up some money and when I wanted to come back they were more than happy to transfer me to the LA offices because they really needed help here. It’s a lot different than my Top 10 lists I used to do but I like it. I still get to write and all but it’s more publishing I get to help choose where and what goes in the magazines.”

“That’s awesome Al, I’m really happy for you.”

“Thanks.”

Just then Alice’s landlord showed up.

“Good afternoon Ms. Pieszecki”

“Good afternoon Ms. Peabody.”

“Please call me Helena.”

“Okay. I’m assuming everything is in order Helena.”

“Yes it is you hand me the check and I’ll hand you the keys.”

“Sounds like a good deal to me. Here you go.”

“And here are your keys enjoy your new home rent is due the first of the month please make the check out to me and here is my cell phone number please do not hesitate to call with any problems.”
