When Tina left Bettes her head was spinning. She had so much to think about. Decisions needed to be made. The use of the paintings was first.it was an easy decision, especially knowing Bette was pregnant. She had no idea what her current income was but knew it wouldnt be enough to raise the baby in style and comfort. She would let Bette use the paintings as long as the money of the proceeds went into a trust fund for the baby. The baby. Tina couldnt believe Bette was pregnant. After her miscarriage and the cheating Tina always thought Bette never really wanted a child, a family. How wrong she had been. Had she been wrong about everything else? Should she have worked things through with Bette 15 months ago? No, she had done what was best for her. She needed to stand on her own again, find herself again. Had she done that? While she was happy with her career, nothing else in her life brought her happiness, gave her a sense of completeness. She was ready to try and have a relationship again, but was Bette the person she wanted to do it with? Who was she kidding? No one else ever measured up to Bette. The love of her life. She still took her breath away when she saw her. Still made her get warm and wet with just a single touch. No one had been able to do that these last 15 months, and Tina had certainly been through enough women trying to find a replacement.

By the time she got home Tina had made a potentially life altering decision. She would try and start over again with Bette. It would have to be on her terms. She sat down, and started a letter that she would Fed Ex to Bette in the morning.

Baby, where do I begin? Spending time with you and seeing how much you have changed was amazing. It has given me hope and made me reflect on where I am in my life. While Im happy with my career, I am miserable in all other aspects of my life. A different woman every night is fun, but not very fulfilling. There is an emptiness that is within me, where my love for you once lived. I cant deny it anymore. I miss you. I dont think I ever stopped loving you or being in love with you. I just couldnt believe in that love because of the pain you caused me when you had the affair with Candace. I realize now that I need to let the pain go in order to move on and try to find happiness. So, what I would like to do is for us to start over again. Start dating, taking it slow, one day at a time. If you can do that I am willing to try. I think we need to know whether we can be together again before the baby is born. We need to have a solid foundation not just for the baby but also for us. We need to be able to communicate no matter whatif not we will get in trouble like the last time. I would like to come out on Saturday for our first date. Tina put the letter in an envelope and set it by her brief case so she could drop it off before work in the morning. She began going through her mail when she saw the package from Bette. She opened the package and read the note quickly. Bette wanted her to be happy and she had changed enough to let Tina know that it was alright if she found happiness with someone else. Tina knew then that she had made the right decision.
