    Summary:
    A certain conversation takes place between two entities that ultimately want the same thing – happiness for a certain blonde. Unfortunately, one of them isn’t quite ready to admit that little truth just yet.

    Continuing with the story – Ashley and Bette have a honest conversation at which time the younger Kennard sister informs Bette of some finer points of interest. Bette has little defense as time for the truth is fast approaching.

    So sorry for the continued delays in posting. Life has certainly gotten a strong hold on me as my wife still struggles with her limitations. Her care & everyday life tasks & duties takes up a great deal of my time to the point that I haven’t had the opportunity to refocus on writing.

    Thankfully, we’ve found two possible solutions to some of the issues & could have some relief for her within the next month. And then by the fall, a permanent solution to some of her difficulties.

    I have started the next chapter after this, so hopefully, I’ll be back to posting on a more regular basis.

    Previously from Chapter 34 . . .

    The blonde reached out and smoothed down the collar of Bette’s jacket and gathered a few strands of hair that had caught inside the jacket as Bette had put it on. Tina gently laid the thick, dark chocolate strands behind Bette’s right shoulder and brushed her hand over the material there.

    The doctor was frozen by Tina’s close proximity and actions. Her eyes freely traveled over the blonde’s face, committing to memory every new line and curve she saw. She was reluctant to admit it, but the brunette actually missed the blonde these past few weeks. She missed her infectious smile, her soft voice, her easy humor, her compassion and her delicate touch.

    “Thank you.” Tina’s hand slowly moved from Bette’s jacket to her face, cupping the brunette’s cheek with her left hand.

    Bette shuddered involuntarily at the light touch. She felt the stirring of her heart, a surge of her blood and the first tingle of caution even as she wanted to soak in the caress. She knew she had to take great care where Tina was concerned. She could easily slip back into an intimate relationship with the blonde very easily.

      Good to see a new chapter.

      Your wife is more important, it’s positive there seems to be solutions for her limitations.

      Ashley spoke rather firm to Bette and she is right. Bette needed it and now they are finally going to talk.

      Bette never ever wanted to hurt Tina, in the past, present or the future, she could have explained to Tina years ago what happened to her father and brother and what it meant to her own future. She decided not to but come on, if you’re life has been tragically changed like hers I’m not sure how i would have handled things.

      And now with her own health struggles, i can understand her hesitation to talk about the past and present. She loves Tina, doesn’t want to hurt her by dragging up the past and doesn’t want Tina to hurt not knowing how her health will progress and not promising her a possible relationship.

      Great chapter!

        My wife actually had 1 procedure today & we are hopeful it will provide her with a good degree of relief.

        Yes, these two knuckleheads are coming towards their big moment thus far.
        I would say its about high time that someone gave Bette a hard time for a change!

      Sorry to hear about your wife’s struggles, but hopefully solutions are on the horizon and will be implemented soon. Hope all goes well.

      That Ashley has some guts confronting Bette. Good for her, she cares about her sister so much.

      And Bette needed to hear all of those points that Ashley brought up.

      Now Bette has to find it within herself to speak honestly with Tina and not continue to hide issues from her.

      Great to have you back and looking forward to many more chapters of this terrific story.

      Bette needed to get the perspective from Tina’s side via Ashley.

      I could feel Bette’s hesitation, sorrow, regret. And certainly Ashley’s frustration and anger.

      So looking forward to the next big chapter.

    5. Well worth the wait as this is super charged.

      Great chapter and very to the point. Bette can’t mistake Ashley’s intent at all – happiness for her sister.

      Best lines – its the whole paragraph when Ashley’s describing Lynn – it’s so rich and exactly pins ‘the no good pilot’ to the seat of the cockpit!!

      ‘With that no good pilot? Captain Selfish?” Ashley scuffed in disgust. She had no positive thoughts on Lynn. She had disliked the brass woman from the start. Thought Lynn was far too arrogant and narcissistic. “The bitch would breeze into town on a flight with a layover in Philly. Didn’t matter the time or day and expected Tina to drop everything to be with her.”

      Ashley doesn’t mince any words.

      Thanks so much for your efforts as we understand the stress you and your wife are under. Best wishes and prayers for some relief soon!

      I LOVE this chapter. Ashley told it like it is – and that’s how Bette needed to hear it. Tina has always taken care of her little sister, now it was Ashley’s turn to take care of her big sister. Gotta say, Ashley sounded just like my sister.
