    Bette: Let me guess you’re searching the closet.

    Bette smirked into the phone knowing very well that Tina was rolling her eyes.

    Tina: No, unlike you Bette I do have patience.

    Tina lied…well sort of.

    Bette: Good cause you would’ve came up empty handed.

    Tina: Don’t I know it.

    Tina mumbled under her breath.

    Bette: What did you say?

    Tina: huh oh nothing, so what time do you leave the office today?

    Bette: I should be out of here no later than 4pm then I need to make a quick stop before I get home.

    Tina: OK well I need to go get some more stuff for Angie, so I’m taking her to Kit’s.

    Bette: Oh that’s going to be hectic…Christmas Eve in a toy store…yeah good luck baby. I’m so happy I got all of her Christmas shopping done a long time ago, I couldn’t imagine.

    Tina: Well don’t remind me, anyways babe we’re pulling up at the planet, I will call you later or see you at home.

    Bette: OK baby, and Tina be careful out there.

    Tina: I will babe, see ya!

    Bette: Bye

    Tina pulls up at the planet and unstrap Angie out of her seatbelt.

    Tina: baby you wanna go stay with auntie Kit til mama gets back?

    Angie: No mama, I want to go open my presents.

    Angie pouted in her cute undesirable way, but this time it just wasn’t going to work.

    Tina: boo we have to wait til Christmas and that isn’t until tomorrow morning, but if you are a good girl for Auntie Kit you could open just one tonight, would you like that?

    Angelica nodded.

    Angie: okay

    Tina lifted Angie up and carried her inside the planet where she found Kit waiting by the counter.

    Kit: Is that auntie’s favorite boo I see.

    Angelica ran up to Kit and jumped in her arms. Kit pepper kiss her all over the cheeks as she squealed like a seal.

    Tina: Thanks Kit, you are a lifesaver.

    Kit: Gosh I hate when you and baby sis act as if I’m doing you guys a favor…I love my boo and anytime you guys leave her with me, it is the biggest favor  you could ever give me.

    Kit said still nibbling on Angie’s cheek.

    8. Your great sense of humor shines in your writing and that scene when “Grandma” Kit was almost toe to toe with a little blonde girl was just so damn funny that my tummy almost hurts! Thanks my friend for sharing and for making all of us laugh this holiday season.
