Tina pushed Bette into one of the glass-enclosed rooms that she’d seen Helena and Paige disappear into earlier that evening. “Are you going to tell me what is going on?” asked Bette, stumbling lightly and righting herself with a grunt.
“You haven’t been feeling what has been going on since Jo broke up with you?” asked Tina hotly, feeling more aroused than she’d ever been in her life. Watching Bette’s chest heaving under the white tee shirt she was wearing was distracting her from the words she wanted to say.
“You were there for me, you listened to me,” said Bette softly. A quick self-check of her emotions, told Bette that it was much more than simply a friend being there for her, it had been far more than that. It had been the hairpin turn in their own bumpy relationship that they’d survived, and now they were on a straight and even road. All that lay ahead on the horizon was sunsets and sunrises, no surprises and no storms.
“No, I didn’t judge you like I used to, and I promise, I will never judge you again. We made so many mistakes,” began Tina, rubbing her face hard with her right hand. “Don’t say anything, I’m talking,” she said, as Bette was about to say something. Bette snapped her mouth shut and waited. “I went back to you because I wanted my family back, our family, and this time, I was the one who destroyed it. I tore it down because nothing had changed, correct that, I changed but you hadn’t and I couldn’t deal with you. Now, you’ve changed, you’re easier, you listen, god, Bette Porter listens.”
“I listened before,” added Bette stiffly, crossing her arms and rubbing them gently. “Not very well, but I listened, I just never acted on what I was told. I was head strong and wanted things my way, now I have a better understanding of the word compromise.”
“Why are you resisting?” asked Tina, taking a step towards Bette. Reaching up, touching Bette’s cheek, and letting her finger trail down Bette’s hot cheek, she softly asked, “Why are you standing here and not kissing me like I know you want to?”

Lets get all the beautiful ladies together that belongs together. Angie is so darn cute. I know you are busy, but please dont forget us. thanks bvh By the way. I just finish reading again The Girl’s Next Door. I love that story, not because you wrote it because Its so darn good. Each time I read it I read something different that I missed or it just didn’t register in my mind. thanks
I love Shane in love!! (Also lovin B&T…but you knew that!) Thanks!!
I love this story and I can’t wait to see what will happen next great update please post soon
You have convinced me that you are a romantic because Shane in love is just too cute. Love her with Lara. Always love alpha Tina… her dialogue with Bette was perfect. One couple down, several more to go… who makes it to the alter next?? Great update, JM!
Well that was definitely a surprise. Thanks for another excellent chapter.
Well, Shane beat everyone to the punch, and I’m glad for it. She knows who she wants, and what she needs to make her happy, and went for it. Seems like they’re all coming round to that way of thinking. Jared is a bit of a brat, so not like Shay. I’m cautiously hopeful for the rest of the couples. We’ll see if they make it… this time around. If not, fate fights to right itself, doesn’t it? Great update, JM, cheers.
I came to this story late but that’s fun when you can go and read it all in a big gulp! Thanks for this update. I am enjoying this tremendously.
loving this, thanks for the up datelove
I really like Spencer’s way of thinking, why try to stop the inevitable? When it eventually happens just try to make the next time worthwhile. O.K. now that we have an idea on Angelica’s gift, will her parents help her enhance it or let it fade? Hopefully the former.
