“For what…an exorcism…?”
“It wouldn’t help…I need some destination…I don’t know where to go, I have to find some interesting place to show her.” Bette bit her lip…”Is there a manual how to impress our future spiteful mothers in low?”
“You wish…hey what about the CAC…you can show her around. Let her see your authority, your passion about art…”
“Yeah…you’re right, I’ll call James and let’s see what’s going to happen…”
“What worst could happen more…?” Kit said shrugging her shoulders…
Bette walked back and stopped at the table. Tina and her mother were still arguing about Patsy’s earlier comment…Tina looked up and smiled at Bette, then her cell start ringing and she excused herself, leaving Bette and Patsy alone…It was uncomfortable silence till Bette had the courage to speak.
“I have some work to finish in CAC, would you like to look around…”
Patsy was taken aback by Bette’s request. Inside she liked that girl, but outside she wanted to give her some more hard time…
“Well…if that isn’t a burden…?”
“Nonsense…it will be pleasure for me…” Bette said exhaling in relief. It was some success…
Tina came back hanging up her cell and throwing it in her purse…
“I’m so sorry babe…I have to go to the office…it looks like Alice had forgot to give the orders for the party…” Tina said noticing the panic in Bette’s eyes…
“But, Bette just offered to give us a tour at CAC…” Patsy said sadly…
Tina looked at her in disbelieve…”you did…?” Bette just nods; she starts to sweats knowing what was following…
“I can go with Bette and you can come later…” Patsy said happily…”This is great, let’s go Bette. I want to see this famous CAC…” Patsy walked further…
“I’m sooo sorry babe, I’ll own you big time…”Tina said smiling awkwardly…
“It’s ok…” Bette nods exhaling…”So, it’s just me against the dragon…”
“She’s not so bad…you’ll see…”
“Yeah…” Bette said kissing Tina’s lips…”See you later…”
“Bye I love you…”Tina said caressing Bette’s cheek with her thump…
“I love you too…” Bette said taking her purse as well…”I like tango…maybe the guy from the zoo would let me try…” Bette mumbled unlocking her car…
“Did you say something Bette…?” Patsy asked
“Hum…no, I was thinking at loud…” Bette said getting in…
