Tiring. I havent had time to sit and rest for five minutes. I dont know how I let Peggy convince me to fly out here and do this.

Tina smiled at Bettes whining and she knew Bette was miserable out there. The weather channel said that it was only forty degrees out there and for someone who had adjusted to the comforts of southern California, Bette must hate it. Tina snuggled under the covers and let a happy smile invade her face as she listened to Bette go on and on about the events of the past week. Bette had been so busy that she only got to call Tina once, and Tina finally gave up and decided to just try and catch Bette on her cell. It was ten thirty pacific time which meant it was one thirty in the morning in New York and Tina felt slightly guilty for calling so late, but she knew Bette wouldnt mind. Bette sighed as she laid down on the bed and kicked her shoes off. She had just gotten back to the hotel an hour ago and even then she still had some plans to finalize before tomorrow so she hadnt had a chance to rest. Tina could hear how tired Bette was and she knew Bette was going to start getting crabby in about five minutes.

So when is the opening?

Friday night. I cant believe its so soon. Nothing is ready and between the media coverage and the board of trustees breathing down my neck Im going to strangle someone. Peggy has been great though and shes kept them off my back as much as possible. Dave Malone is the director right now and I dont know how he would have been able to handle all thishes driving me more crazy than anyoneI dont know where they found him.

Tina smiled again and she could feel Bettes anger and frustration rising through the phone lines. Tina decided to let her vent a little more before trying to calm her down.

and if I have one more person call me about details for the opening Im going toI dont know

Bette sighed loudly and Tina laughed softly to try and ease Bettes frustration. She had a surprise for Bette and she knew Bette would be thrilled. She had to keep it a secret and she didnt even tell Alice or Shane, but Peggy had called her and insisted on flying her out for the opening. Tina couldnt say no and so Peggy arranged to have Tina fly in on Friday morning and attend the event as a special guest. Bette was none the wiser about what was going on and after Peggy saw how strung out Bette was she knew it would be the perfect reward. Tina listened to the sound of Bette breathing through the phone and she closed her eyes, picturing Bette right beside her with her arms around Tinas body. Tina had an idea and she felt kind of silly but she thought it might do the trick.

Im sorry you had such a rough weekis there anything I could do to make you feel better?

Tina bit her lip as she waited for Bettes response. Phone ***** was not something they had done frequently and Tina was still shy about doing it, but if this is what it took to snap Bette out of her mood then she would. Besides, she was missing Bettes attention and her hormones had been getting to her these past few days. Bette missed the undertone in Tinas question at first since she was so exhausted and stressed out and she was confused at what Tina wanted.

Tina rolled her eyes and held in a laugh as she tried again. She knew Bette was tired but she didnt think that Bette would pass on this, even if they were three thousand miles apart. Bette had been enjoying Tinas newfound sexual drive that her hormones had given her and Tina was willing to bet that this was one bonus of the pregnancy that Bette would never forget.

Bette caught what Tina meant the second time around and she felt herself grow tingly all over. Bette knew that Tina was not a big fan of this but the fact that she was willing to do it made Bette happy. Bette told Tina to hold on for a second so that she could change and she quickly shed her suit and climbed into bed with just her bra and underwear on. Bette could hear Tina laughing on the other end of the phone and Bette smiled at the sound of her voice. What has gotten into her lately? she thought as she picked the phone back up and resumed their conversation. Bettes voice was already thick with desire and Tina had to keep biting her lip from laughing.

Tina laughed a little before continuing. They really didnt have a skill for this and she was pretty sure she could say just about anything and make Bette meltbut still it was fun. Tina let her free hand travel over her body and she slowly lowered it under the sheets to the source of her desire.

Bette felt her crankiness getting the better of her and decided she should just let it go before she started yelling at Tina.

Bette hung up and fell asleep within seconds and when she awoke the next morning she laughed at the thought of Tina trying to initiate phone ***** with her. Bette thought it was a sweet gesture given the fact that she had been in such a crappy mood yesterday and she knew Tinas hormones must have been really out of control with her gone all week. Before running down to get a cab Bette placed a call to a flower shop in LA. When Tina got home from work that day she found a dozen long stem red roses with a card attached sitting on her front porch. When she read the card she felt her cheeks go flush with embarrassment and desire and she laughed softly as she thought about how much she was going to enjoy surprising Bette on Friday. The card read:
