    Connection-Chapter Two-BBQ

     Previously…

“Uhm, Tina, I’m having a BBQ in my garden tomorrow. The Gang and all the kids will be there. Would you want to come? Your kids are also welcome.”

“Yeah, I would love to come. I think it would be great to see all the kids to.” Tina said.

“Okay, my phone number is still the same so if you know if your kids would like to come, let me know.” Bette said.

“I will…” Tina said. She noticed Bette had changed. She was softer. She was calmer and easier to talk to. Before it had always been easy to talk to Bette but now it was even easier. She had missed this woman. She would love to say ‘I missed you.’

“What?” Bette asked. Tina didn’t realize she had voiced her thoughts.

“I, eum, I just wanted to tell you I missed you.” Tina said. Bette smiled and looked down.

“I missed you to, Tina…” Bette said, remembering the first year after their break up. She almost died. Drinking, drugs and not eating wasn’t a good combination. Without her friends, she probably wouldn’t be here anymore. She wanted to apologize again, for what she had done but Tina interrupted.

“Bette, I forgave you 12 years ago. You don’t have to say sorry anymore. You weren’t the only one that made mistakes in our relationship.” Tina said.

“That may be true; Tina, but I made the biggest.” Bette said.

“It doesn’t matter. Just know you don’t have to say sorry anymore. I forgave you.” Tina said. Bette felt like a huge weight was lifted from her shoulders. Tina had forgiven her.

    The Next Day

Bette, Serafina, Sebastian, Kit, Angus, Melody, Shane, Carmen, Victor, Alice, Tasha, Lily, Rose and Flora were sitting at Bette’s giant table in the garden. They were now only waiting for Tina and her kids to arrive. Just when Bette thought they wouldn’t show up, Tina walked in. A thin female walked next to her and two tall boys behind her.

“Hey, everyone.” Tina greeted them. Jack, John and Jill did the same.

“Nice to see you again, Ms. Porter.” Jack said. Bette smiled.

“Nice to see you to, but call me Bette.” Bette told him.

They all sat down and began talking. Soon, Victor, Lily, Melody and Rose ran into the garden because the talking was getting to boring. Jill, Flora, Serafina and Sebastian began talking about school and sports and found out they had a lot in common. Jack talked to Tasha about the army because he was thinking about joining it, Tina wasn’t happy about that. John talked to Alice and had a lot of fun. Shane, Carmen, Helena, Dylan, Kit and Angus were also having a conversation, that left Bette, and Tina almost forced to talk to one another.

    1. Great update. It’s good that everyone got along so well and Tina still doesn’t know that both of Bette’s children are named after her, she’s gonna really understand just how much Bette missed her when she finds that Sebastian is also named Christian, the male version of her name. Those little sly looks they keep giving each other when they think the other is not looking means a lot to them, they can’t get enough of looking at one another just as in the past. Thanks for posting.

    2. Well well well. yes they need time but please not too long lol. Can’t wait to read more. I am galde the kids get on perfectly. The group is back together with their next generation.Thank you for posting.

    3. Hi JB_Loverke, Bette and Tina are slowly edging together as they have both begun to acknowledge exactly what they lost when they broke up. It is great that they have both moved on and now forgiven each other. Still hopeful for a complete reunion and meeting of hearts and minds. Bette and Tina complete each other perfectly. More please and Many Thanks from Your Loyal Fan.
