"I wouldn’t trust anybody," Bette said, "I almost got eaten alive by some monster masquerading as a person."

"I got there right on time," Tina added.

"Yeah, she confessed him," Bette said with a sad smile, showing Alice that she knew.

Alice gave Bette a sympathetic smile and changed the subject, "I know what Buckley is planning."

"What?!" Bette and Tina said at the same time.

"She’s collecting the boxes of Orden," Alice said.

"Holy fuck!" Tina said.

Bette straightened her back once she heard Orden, having finally placed Tina’s role into the first line of the book: Contents of this book must be verified by a Confessor. Maybe Dana was right and she would be confessed by Tina. But what do these boxes of the same name have to do with the book that Bette had become.

"Bette," Alice said, "you’re not gonna ask what the fuck we’re talking about?"

"Yeah, um, what are the boxes of Or-whatever its name is?" Bette asked careful to ensure no one knew about her being the book. Melvin always stressed that no one should ever know about her knowledge.

"Orden," Alice said, "they are these three boxes with magical powers. When put together they control the universe. There’s only three specific orders that work. One makes the person who put them together the ultimate all powerful ruler of the universe. No one can deny her."

"Well isn’t that the perfect plan for Faye fucking Buckley!" Bette spat angrily.

"Yes, but it’s not that simple," Tina said, "there are two other orders."

"One that destroys the one that put them together and that person alone, and one that destroys the entire universe and every creation in it," Alice said.

"Well we definitely have to avoid that last one," Bette said, "how does she know the order?"

Tina and Alice looked at each other then sighed in relief.

"What?" Bette said.

"Well there’s only one way that could happen," Alice said, "the instructions are in the book of Orden and that has been disappeared for centuries."

Bette froze as her memories flooded in. Melvin had already paddled her a few times for not memorizing that part and he said it was the most important.

"Bette are you okay?" Tina said rubbing the brunette’s arm affectionately.
