Shane knelt next to Christina and grabs her hand. “Babe, just relax. Everything’s going to be okay.”

“You don’t know that Shane. What if Mark leaves me when I tell him I’m pregnant? I don’t know what I would do. I don’t want this to happen to me again.” Shane grabs a hold of her friend and holds her close.

“Chris, everything’s to be okay.” Christina wraps her arms around Shane and begins to cry. “ShhhhDon’t cry, you don’t have to worry about a thing.”

“I’m happy about being pregnant, but I’m just scared.”

Shane rubs Christina’s back. “It’s okay to be scared, that’s a part of life.” She chuckles softly.

“I know, but-.”

“But nothing, you’re going to walk out of this bathroom as another person. I better see a smile on that face, no more crying. Trust me, Mark’s going to be happy about the news.”

Christina pulls away from Shane. “Thanks Shane.”

“Any time girl, that’s what I’m here for.” She smiles and stands up. “Do you want me to get rid of the test?”

“I can do it, I want to show Mark.” Christina smiles and gets off the toilet.

“I’m going to leave you so you can get yourself together.” Shane gives Christina a kiss on the forehead. She walks out of the bathroom and closes the door.

            Bette walks into her home and closes the door. She hears little feet running around the house. She smiles when she sees Destiny come around the corner. She kneels down and holds her arms out.

“There’s mama’s baby.” Destiny runs into her mom’s arm and hugs her tightly.

“Ma-ma.” Bette laughs to herself.

“That’s right. Mama’s here.” She gives Destiny a kiss. “Where’s mama at?” Destiny turns her head and starts to wiggle out of Bette’s arms. She begins to run towards Bette’s and Tina’s bedroom. Bette follows Destiny around the corner and into the bedroom. Tina’s making the bed and putting the last pillow on the bed. She takes a seat and sighs.

“Hey babe.”

“Hey.” Bette gives Tina a kiss.

“How was work?”

“Great, everything’s going great. Reese Thomas, the newest artist for my gallery. She is amazing, she is a complete genius at her age.” Tina smiles at how enthused Bette is about her job. Tina gets up from the bed and wraps her arms around Bette.
