Tina got the coffee going and started outside to get the paper, and take in the fresh morning air. She opened the front door to find a beautiful flower arrangement on her front porch with a letter attached. She quickly grabbed the letter and headed to the porch swing.

I know you are worried about what today will hold, and I want you to know that I will be there with you in your heart, and whatever the test results may bring you can turn to me. Tina felt the warmth take over her body, and her strength build. Bette’s letter suddenly made her feel like she could face anything. She sat there for a moment, re-reading the letter, and lost in the feelings that it stirred in her.

“Hey you” Tina couldn’t control the smile that took over her face. She jumped up and ran to the waiting arms of the brunette that has captured her heart.

“I’m so happy your here” Tina confessed as her lips met Bette’s.

“I thought you might need some company this morning.”

“I love you Bette” Tina pulled Bette into a tight embrace. Nearly eliminating Bette’s ability to breathe.

“I love you to T… but what was that for?”

“Because you know, without me saying anything, without even seeing me, you know”

“I just want to be there for you T, I don’t ever want you to hurt or worry alone. I want to be the one you come to, the one you lean on.” Bette took a deep breath trying to control her nerves. “T… I..know in my heart…..I… want….”

“Bette baby it’s ok” Tina knew where Bette was going, she wanted Bette as her girlfriend, but didn’t want to push her.

“T… this has been an amazing week… you have made me feel things I didn’t think I could feel again…I want you in my life T.. I want you to hold that special place in my life and my heart.
