    Chapter 26

    Previously…

    Hailey got up, both women looked at each other not sure what to think. Before they had a chance to get worried, she crawled up into Bette’s lap, wrapped her little arms around Bette’s neck and gave her a hug. “I want you to be my Momma to.” The tears immediately started flowing down Bette’s face. Hailey wiped the tears from Bette’s cheek.

    “Happy tears?” she asked sweetly

    “Very happy tears Baby Girl very happy tears.”

    “I love you Mommy”

    Colin saw the tears rolling down Tina face. He jumped down from his chair and ran over to Tina. He gave her arm a little tug so that he could crawl up in her lap. She sat back in her chair and he did just that. He wiped her tears away.

    “Don’t cry Momma, I love you!” Sky took her place by Bette’s side. She wrapped her arms around Bette’ s waist. “I love you to Mommy” then she did something that would cement their family together for a long time to come. Sky leaned down and kissed Bette’s tummy. “And I love you Baby… I’m gonna be your big sister, and we have the best family in the world”

    Bette sat on the couch, as much as she wanted to watch Tina tuck Colin in she knew that Tina needed a chance to bond with him with out her hovering. Tina came down the hallway and stopped behind the couch, wrapped her arms around Bette’s neck, and kissed the top of her head.

    “He’s out like a light” she said as Bette took her hand and led her around the couch and on to her lap.

    “The girls are all settled in the guest room..their room. I know we haven’t really talked about living arrangements, and well I know that this place is not big enough for all of us, but I would like to go and get some stuff for the girls room. I want it to feel like home for them even if it is just a part time home.”

    “Babe you don’t have to do that”
