Kate knocked before she walked in the door. She stopped dead in her tracks. Shock written all over her face as she took in the destruction before her. “What the hell?”

“Hey… yeah I know. But as bad as it is, there doesn’t seem to be anything that we can’t fix or clean up. You up for an all nighter?”

“Please tell me the cops are after that psycho!”

“They are supposed to call when they pick her up.” Kit explained.

“So where do we start?”

“I am going to head out to get the stuff we need before everything closes up, and I think Kit was hoping you would help her out here while I’m gone.”

“You better get going it’s getting late” Kit reminded Shane.

“Alright, call my cell if you need anything.”

“We will”

Shane was out the door and on her way, and Kit and Kate started in on the living room. Picking up photos and putting the furniture back where it belongs.

Tina walked back into Bette’s room hoping to see her asleep, but no such luck.

“Hey… what took you so long.”

“Sorry Babe.. I ran downstairs to get a cup of coffee.” Tina tried to hide the emotions running through her, but they were written all over her face.

“T… what’s wrong?”

“Nothing babe.. it’s just been a long day.”

“T….”

“Babe it is nothing that you need to worry about… you are supposed to be relaxing remember.”

“T… it something happened I need to know.. Are the kids Ok?” Bette started getting upset at the thought something was wrong with the kids.

“No Baby… the kids are all fine.. I just talked to Alice. They were all asleep before she even got them home.”

“Then what is it T… Please just tell me.”

Tina sat on the bed beside Bette. “Bette I didn’t want to tell you this while you were still in here…”

Bette stared at Tina willing her to just spit it out.

“Babe there was a break in at the house. Nothing was stolen, but apparently it was vandalized.”

“Jodi”

“I’m afraid so Bette, but Kit and Shane have everything under control. All of your artwork is fine there was no damage to any of it. They have called the police, and Shane said that everything would be back to normal by morning.”

“Get me out of here… I want to see it.”

“No Baby… Shane promised me she would take pictures of all of it. You need your rest Bette, and they are going to be up working late into the night. Let’s just concentrate on relaxing so you can go home in the morning.”

“T this has to stop.”

“I know it does baby, and it will. We will stop it, but not at a risk to you or the baby. Come on lay down and let me hold you, the nurse will be in soon to check on you.” Bette reluctantly laid down against Tina, and Tina wrapped her arms around Bette. Tina lovingly caressed Bette’s tummy and started to sing to them.

“T… your voice is beautiful… like an angel” Bette whispered as she got lost in the sound of Tina’s voice. Tina stopped when she thought Bette was asleep.

“T…”

“I thought you were asleep baby.”

“No… just enjoying this…. are you going to sing to the baby?”

“Of course I will”

Bette smiled.. and closed her eyes. “I love you T”

“I love you to baby”

Bette fell asleep with thoughts of watching her T holding their child singing to him flooding her mind.
