“Don’t get your boi shorts in a bunch sister…”
“Alice… cut the crap and gimme that hammer” Kit knew well enough to know Alice was just excited, they were having fun, but everyone was getting tired. Alice jumped up and stuck her tongue out at Shane as she handed Kit the hammer.
“Once we are done and they are home you are so going in the pool” Shane said trying to hold back laughter.
“You gotta catch me first Shaney Poo!”
* * * * *
“Bette baby… promise me something?”
“Anything T”
“Promise me you will take it easy until the baby is born?”
“T… I’m fine really.”
“Bette promise me… please!”
‘Bette could hear the fear in Tina’s voice. “Hey… I’m ok baby… don’t be scared.”
“Bette I am scared. What if something happened to you or the baby. You have no idea how much this whole thing has scared me. I need you Bette.” All the fears and emotions she had been holding back for the last twenty four hours came flooding out, as the tears flowed freely. “You have no idea Bette, I was so scared seeing you lying on that bed with your life and his life hanging in the balance knowing there was noting I could do about it.”
“T baby… I’m sorry I scared you, but honey you need to know that you did everything… If you weren’t there with me I would still be there with sky high blood pressure. You holding me and singing to me is what calmed me down. You did everything T… everything.”
“Babe just promise me you will take it easy.”
“T I promise… the show is over. James can handle the gallery… I won’t go in more than a few hours a week. I can do the nursery a little at a time.”
“Bette you can’t be serious… you are not still thinking you are going to paint the nursery before the baby is born are you?”
“Of course I am T…”
“Bette!”
“T… Baby you know how much it means to me… I promise just an hour or two at a time. It really does help me to relax. You can even call Dr. Wilson and make sure it’s Ok before I pick up the first paint brush.”

Oh goody 514 your back at it. I hope that means your family is all good. Bette and Tina have some very loyal friends, to pull an all nighter, visit them in the hospital w/good news and go back to work, wow that would have taken a toll on anyone. Great chapter and yes they did do a great job re-doing everything. Happy that Bette and Tina never saw what Jodi did to the house and the girls were able to put it all back and more. PPS
