Chapter 59

“I’ll go get her.” Bette got up and walked to the patio door. “Sky honey can you come inside for a few minutes?”
“Ok Mommy… is it my turn to talk to the social worker lady?”
“Yes Boo it is.”
“Ok” Skyler made her way to the living room and quickly introduced herself. “Hi I’m Skyler it’s nice to meet you mam” Sky stick her hand out to shake Nicole’s hand.
“My name is Nicole… it’s very nice to meet you to.” Nicole was instantly impressed by this little girl!
“Sky sweetie Ms. Jenkins would like to speak to you for a few minutes.”
“Ok Momma”
“Sky where would you like to go to have a little talk?”
“We can go to my room.”
“That will be fine… lead the way.”
* * * * *
Nicole followed Skyler upstairs into her room.
“You can sit on my bed if you want Ms. Jenkins”
“Please Skyler call me Nicole.”
“Ok”
“This won’t take long I just have a few questions for you.”
“Ok”
“Do you what adoption is?”
“Yes that is when Mommies or Daddies puck their kids instead of having them, Then a judge and a social worker like you tell them if they get to adopt the kids. As long as they are following the rules and are good parents they get to.”
“That was very good.”
“Thank you… Mommy wants to adopt sissy and me.”
“Yes she does… how do you feel about that?”
“I like it… I love Mommy and I want her to be my Mommy forever.”
“How do you feel about having two Mommies?”
Skyler gave her a strange look. “I don’t have two Mommies!” she said adamantly.
“Really?” Nicole’s interest was peaked by her response. “Don’t you call Bette Mommy?”
“Yes… but I don’t have another Mommy.”
“What do you call Tina then?”
“Are you talking about Momma? I have a Momma and a Mommy. Not two Mommies!”

Again this is great, I just hope that we will get a fair trial when we want to adopt. I never had a couple from our community to investigate for an adoption. I hope I will get it soon. But great job tibette513 you just caught the essence of the adoption’s investigation. PPVS and longer pmsl
Bette and Tina are extremely lucky that they have the kids that they do. This is a wonderful example of families coming together and thriving.

Sorry 513 never tired of this story,in fact I’ll second Therese_Belivet. My first thought is Sky’s the limit, just like Tom Petty sings, Skyler is a great kid, they all are and B&T are the parents dreams are made of. My sister used to do a job like Nicoles, we called her the official baby snacher though, she had to quit after while, all her cases didn’t turn out quite so nice. Thank you, Md
God you just know what to write, that was an amazing chapter my dear and I totally fell in love with that Sky, she is a wonderful and smart young girl, and yes they are lucky that they have found each other.
