“Just coz you and Tasha are always quarreling doesn’t mean every couple should too.” Tina stretched her legs and found her head a soft cushion on Bette’s chest. “What’s the emergency?”
“Oh, yeah, we need an evil scheme to test out whether Dana’s new crush is down with the ladies.”
“And you thought of us because?” Bette asked incredulously, couldn’t believe her evening was disrupted only to be forced in on a scheme.
“Carmen… believes that we could use your…expertise on this.” Dana sold out the Hispanic girl under pressure.
“Well, you were the cobra among vipers.” Alice laid out her palm, then she looked over to Tina, “and you are hell of a snake master to have tamed this one.” She was successful in getting the couple both roll their eyes at her.
“It’s kinda important coz our tennis star is swooned. We need a foolproof plan.” Carmen added.
Tasha, who had been quietly thinking, finally spoke, “I might have something, but you guys should check it before we bring it into operation.”
“Fine.” Bette nodded, agreed out of appreciation for the respect Tasha showed her. They were on good terms, though not without Tina and Alice going in between for quite some time. After all, the FBI agent almost threw her in prison. But she promised her wife to be nice.
Shane volunteered to bring the couple into the situation, sharing what they had achieved so far.
Good storytelling definitely piqued Bette’s interest. This might just be the most fun she had in a long time. “You know what, Dana, I’m gonna call Helena tomorrow and take a day off. We got this.” She entwined her fingers with Tina, and the two shared a smile.
Hope rose on the young athlete’s face. And Alice was more than delighted, “oh my god you mean?”
“I mean. We could use a little time outside the house anyway, right babe?”
“Mmm, yeah, it’s been a little boring. I could definitely use some fresh air.”
“So it’s settled.” Bette announced their decision, “we’re going to deploy a mission to ascertain the disposition and intend of one Miss Lara Perkins.”
Alice clapped her hands like a child. She would like to go into some details before the big day, but Tina nudged Bette to stand up.

I do like a happy ending. So this is it, chapter 15 finale.
Thanks for ridding along with me on this one. It’s been a little crazy, and I’ve bent so much on how I originally wanted it to go, but I’d say I’m pretty happy with how it turned out.
Gotta prepare for a new semester, but I’m sure I’ll figure something out every now and then.
