“Princess?” Bette turned to Christina. “I would suggest that we brief before our arrival at Antares. Director would you and your staff join us in an hour in the Princess’ Chambers?”
“With pleasure” the Director nodded.
“Would you like the Consort Guard to join you now?” Dr. Pieaseki piped in.
“No.” Bette raised both her eyebrows at the teasing nature of the question. It was clear that Alice had figured out that the relationship between her First Officer and herself had changed. “We need to speak privately first.” The look she gave Alice dared her to say another word.
“Speaking…privately. Uh huh.” Alice smirked.
“Doctor did you say something?” Bette was clearly irritated now.
“No Maam.” Alice shut her trap.
Once inside the Princesses’ chambers Bette found Christina to be pensive. She stood at the viewport watching the stars slide by. She moved behind her and hesitated to touch her though she yearned to do so. The feel of Christina in her arms one she was not sure she could ever get enough of.
“What is troubling you Christina?” Bette asked gently placing a hand on her shoulder.
Christina placed her hand over hers and leaned back into the warmth of her lover.
“I was just thinking that our time together is almost over. It will be challenging to return to our more formal relationship with one another.”
“What are you saying? Our time together is no where near over, just this mission.” Bette clarified for herself.
“Do you truly wish to be joined with me Elizabeth?” Christina turned to face her and searched the ebony eyes. “I cannot give you the open regard that you require and I think I have already shown you that I do not appreciate you receiving that from another.”
Elizabeth smiled. “You admit to the human emotion of jealousy?”
“While one fourth of my genetic makeup is human jealousy is far more dangerous in my Vulcan and Romulan ancestry. Have you forgotton how Vulcan culture evolved? We almost killed ourselves off in our passion and jealous rages. My Romulan ancesters continue to be ruled by passion and aggression that is now turned outward into colonization and empire. I cannot let my passions run free it might undo me more than it already has.” She finished with a slight smile. The hunger that suddenly became evident in her eyes made Bette wet.

Hummmmm…Christina has Vulcan strength. Given their passion, I’m afraid for Captain Elizabeth.

Kelika, will these two ever admit to being in love with each other? Is it possible for Tina to be in love, does she have enough human traits to be in love? I know tht sounds stupid but I never watched the show and odn’t know just how human she is or do the other two races take away fundamental feelings. God, I hope not, they need to be able to say they are in love. I know they feel it, at least Bette does, and I want her to tell Tina. Hopefully she will, Tina needs to hear it. Great story, K. Geez Kelika…does it get any hotter than this??? If it does I might just combust! You really are an incredible writer…not because of the NC17s, but because your words transcend the paper and all the emotion becomes very palpable for the reader. This was awesome…what else can I say except I await your next update whenever you are able.

I love when they Meld. It will never get better, so I guess that means that Captain Elizabeth K. Porter and First Officer Christina Kennard are destined to be together forever.
