Daughters of Kirk and Spock, Resumes6

“He has and always will have my…heart.” Spock replied.

Elizabeth did not know how to respond to this blatant emotional confession.

Christina was not as challenged “So he has your heart and my mother has your regard and your body?  This does not seem fair to either of them.”

“Yet that was what could have happened between you and me if I had not claimed you first right?”  Elizabeth was quick to retort; still simmering over the thought.

Christina was not prepared for this onslaught of emotion. The fire of Elizabeth’s emotion through their meld seared her.  She was taken aback by the anger of what could have; yet did not happen.

“I understand that to your logical mind that since we are together that what could have happened does not disturb you.  It makes me furious.” Elizabeth’s eyes flashed with her anger. “The thought of loving you the way I do and never being able to touch you makes me crazy.”  Elizabeth stormed off to the credenza and made herself a drink.

“It’s hard” Kirk conceded. A whisper of a smile crossed his lips as he realized the double entendre he used unconsciously.  “There were times that I did not think I could survive this perpetual yearning.” He sighed and the cabin was silent.  “Uhura helped me there, ‘what doesn’t kill you will make you fat’ she would say.  I can’t say that if I had to do it all over again that I would not want to feel… what I feel for Spock.  I love him very much and the joy of my life has been the times I have spent with him on missions, in quiet moments, on the bridge, actually anytime anywhere.”

“Scotch, Dad?”  Elizabeth offered him a large tumbler, swallowing a large swig from her own glass.

Kirk took the glass and sipped. “I just want Christina to know that Terran love such as yours will never be satisfied with anything less than the heart of Vulcan as odd as that might seem.”

“She knows that.” Elizabeth snapped.  The thought that Christina could still doubt her love and need sent a shiver down her spine.  Her father met her eyes and Elizabeth whirled to look at Christina.

    1. Oh boy, I was just saying to a friend of mine tonight that I hadn’t seen a post from you foe a while and then….here it is! Well, I liked it Kelika…it does move the story and it explains the incredible depth of their love. This story is great and if you need to take your time then take it…don’t rush it. I love this story!

    2. Ah, Kelika…you are quite correct, I owe more than one. I have no excuse for this except to say that work has taken over my life. I will try to post soon. Your characters are just so perfectly constructed that I can hear and see them all. Thanks for continuing this story.

    3. Christina seems to light a fire underneath Elizabeth when there is a need. There is an overwhelming fire that burns throughout this couple. Nothing can stop it or put it out but Elizabeth and Christina.

    4. Oooo! I love how you have set up the sparring! Please don’t let my slow ‘ass’ keep you from moving forward… I have this wonderful image of Christina “folding her arms across her chest and spreading her legs in opposition” that is just prime for Elizabeth to subdue *wink*

    5. K I was so happy to see a new chapter up and had to read it on y lappy instead of my iPhone,,LOL. I really enjoyed this chapter because it showed how deep thier love was that of all four involved. AT the end, Christina admitted her love for Bette but did not accept she said it,,,but she did! Great update K,thank you.

    6. Nice one, K, – “He has and always will have my…heart.” – Spock quoting the end of ‘Sense and Sensibility’! – and a Q.: later Bette says ‘There are two problems with that proposition’ – and says ‘she can’t get satisfaction with any other’… then what was the second problem? (sorry, am clueless today :-)

    7. Great chapter. There is never a dull moment with these two is there. Since we are in the future when they are ready they should be able to concieve a child using one or the others DNA shouldn’t they. I konw I know I’m getting way ahead of myself but that is where I see this heading in due time. PPS

    8. I’ve been missing this story and am saddened that your notes seem to indicate that you wish to be done with it. Rachael still needs to be dealt with before you close this, but I hope you realize that you have endless opportunities to move this premise forward and that your audience would welcome this.
