Don’t Say Good Bye

Mr. and  Mrs. Kennard pulled up to a huge mansion almost similar to theirs but theirs was a little smaller. They had just moved to L.A. and they were invited to a party at the popular Porter’s residence.

“Are you ready dear?”

“Ready as I’ll ever be I guess.”

“Don’t worry, we’ll get a hang of this in no time at all. We are finally getting the things that we wanted. And I can finally get the things that you always wanted.”

“You know all I wanted was you and a family. I’m just looking at all this as a great plus to our future.”

They gave each other a kiss and got out of the car for the valet to park their car. Mr. Kennard knocked on the door and was greeted by Mrs. Porter.

“Hi, I’m so glad you two could make it.”

“Good evening Patty, it was so nice of you to invite us to your party.”

“Yes, thank you very much.”

“Don’t mention it, I know you’re new to the neighborhood so I think this would be a great opportunity for the Kennards to meet everyone.”

Melvin comes up to greet them.

“Oh darling you remember the Kennards.”

“Of course, its Fred and Lindsay right?”

“Yes it is.”

“Well we’re glad that you two could make it and if you don’t mind Lindsay I would like to take Fred from you for a while.”

“No I don’t mind at all.”

“Great, come on Fred come meet the guys.”

“Ok, you’ll be ok honey?”

“Of course she’ll be fine, I am going to take great care of your wife, go go have some fun.”

The men walk off to the back patio to hang with the guys. In the mean time Patty takes Lindsay to meet the girls.

“Ladies, I would like you to meet Lindsay Kennard, her family moved from North Carolina.”

“Wow, quite a ways from home aren’t you?”

“Yes, Fred got a great job offer out here so that’s why were here.”

All the ladies sat and chatted about their work, being a house wife, their homes, families, and what they own.
