Tina was staring at Bette as her body just dropped down onto the bed. Angela smiled at the now sleeping body before her. She knew she scared Phaedra and if she was smart she’d run to another realm soon. Tina couldn’t say a word, she stood there and watched as her mother moved Bette’s body down under the covers. Angela knew her daughter was going to have questions but she decided to distract her with what she knew would be predominately on the girl’s mind.

    “Christina, Bette is still sick.”

    “What?!” she felt panicked.

“She’s going to sleep for some time, just not as long as she would have, had we not have come. We removed the base of the sickness but what’s in her system has to run out naturally. Be thankful it was still in her stomach, had it been in her brain or further into her body we would’ve had to do much worse.”

    “What was that?”

“That was an “id demon‘s venom”. It plays off of your subconscious. Showing you things that are rather painful and best left in the darkness of our minds.” Angela saw the confused look still on Tina’s face and she was becoming impatient. She shook her head and tried another approach, “Imagine someone took your brain and turned it around. Showing you everything you’d wanted to forget and putting them on a screen to make you watch and relive like a movie.”

“Will she be alright?” Tina asked as she was close to tears.

“Probably in the long run, but all the memories she’s had recently most likely won’t survive.”

“So you’re saying she won’t remember me?” Tina asked and felt a pang of hurt.

“I don’t know. That’s all up to her.”

    ………………………….

Bette heard the sounds of the outside going on around her. Her head felt heavy and her body ached like she’d just come back from a workout. Her teeth felt gritty and she could only smell lavender and vanilla in her room.

She sat up slowly and tried to move her body. But her legs felt like the were under water. Her chest hurt and she was having a hard time breathing correctly. Her back felt like it was on fire and she still had no idea what was wrong with her. The last thing she remembered she’d studied for her “Dramatic Illusions” class and went to bed.

    1. Wow, this is almost impossible to understand but I do know evil when I read it and see it and Tinas mother is one evil bitch. Hope all this works out for the best for Tina and Bette to be together and happily in love with each other. Thanks for posting.
