Tina looked from Dana to Alice, knowing that she wasnt going to get out of this conversation, Dana might give up, but Alice wouldnt. I came to LA three years ago.

She looked up to gauge their reactions. Alice tried to hide the shocked look and smiled at Tina, Go on, Im being good and waiting for you to continue, I do act like a grown up sometimes.

Dana looked over at Alice and smiled, loving her ability to disarm a situation. Tina smiled back at Alice, Wow, I certainly have missed a lotWell, like I said, I came back three years ago, actually, it was over three years ago. Anyway, I told Shane and asked her not to tell anyone, so Alice, no berating Shane for this, got it? Alice nodded, but had her fingers crossed under the table.

I told Shane I needed closure, one way or another, closure. Long story short, I borrowed Shanes truck and went to see Bette, but found her with Robin. I figured that was all the closure I needed. Shane and Carmen told me it was a first date, but it was still all I needed to see. I changed my return flight and went home to NY the next day.

Thank you, Dana. You really are a sweet person, but I gave you the short version. Poor Shane and Carmen stayed up with me all night. I really felt for Carmen, she barely knew me. But she was good to me.

A thought finally struck Alice, Wait a sec, when was this Tina?

Well, Cara here is 2 and a half and well, she doesnt exactly have your coloring Tina. I thought you said you were looking down at Cara, she whispered, inseminated in NY? The timeline seems a little fishy to me.

Are you ever not a reporter, Al? Yes, it all happened in NY, but if you need to know, while I was here, I went to the cryobank, asked them if it was possible to use Marcus, but have it done in NY. They found a clinic for me in NY and they took care of the transport for me, to keep it viable. I guess I was ready to move on, but I needed a little piece to keep with me.

She looked up at her friends and shyly smiled, But look at what I got out of it. My little girl.

Outside, when Shane finally caught up with Robin, Im sorry Robin. I didnt think we would run into you. I just sort of called her and asked her to get home. I didnt mean to upset you. I just thought she might be able to help with Alice and Dana.

Robin looked at Shane and smiled, Thank you Shane. You dont need to apologize to me for your friend visiting. I knew it would happen one day. I just wasnt expecting it.

She looked through the window at Tina, Shes really beautiful, isnt she?

Yeah, she is. But dont worry Robin.

Thats not so easy Shane. Do you know how hard its been to get used to the fact that your girlfriend will always love someone else in a deeper way than she could ever love you? Ive always known. Bettes been honest with me about Tina, about their relationship and what happened. But I love her. And the fact that she loved me, even if it isnt in that life altering way that she lovedloves Tina was ok with me. The tears started to fill her eyes, Ive always feared this would happen. Bette would see Tina again and all of my dreams would be gone.

Shane looked at Robin and felt horrible. She hadnt really thought this far in advance when she asked Tina to come. Robin, itll be fine. Bette loves you.

Shane watched Robin walk away and wondered how to handle this. She knew that Bette and Tina should see each other. They both needed to get over the past or truly move on, but she wasnt sure what to do. She turned around and began to walk back into The Planet, knowing that one way or another, things would get interesting before this weekend was over. (tbc)
