Bette was standing outside of Tina’s apartment feeling both excited and nervous at the same time. She took a deep breath before knocking on the door.

The door slowly opened to reveal Tina dressed in tight fitting jeans and a red top. She had called Bette earlier asking what to wear and was told to wear something casual which had made her quit curious to what Bette had planned.

“Hi” Tina smiled shyly stepping aside so that Bette could enter.

“You look amazing” Bette smiled as she walked inside.

“You don’t look to bad yourself Ms. Porter” Tina smiled eyeing Bette who was also dressed in tight fitting jeans and a white top.

Tina looked at Bette standing in front of her and felt a bit uncomfortable. She didn’t know the appropriate way to greet the brunette after their previous encounters.

Bette could see Tina’s struggle and opened up her arms to the blonde. Tina smiled at Bette before taking a step forward and into the embrace. Tina let out a sigh feeling Bette’s arms around her holding her close.

They broke the hug smiling at each other.

“We should get going” Bette smiled.

“Where are we going?” Tina asked eyeing Bette curiously.

“You have to wait and see” Bette smirked.

“No tell me now!” Tina said eager to know.

Bette just laughed stepping out of the door “Come on” She smiled extending her hand.

Tina took Bette’s hand in hers feeling a warm feeling spreading through her whole body. They walked out of the building hand in hand and up to Bette’s car.

Bette opened the door for Tina before walking over to her side and getting in herself.

“So where are we going?” Tina asked as they made their way out onto the freeway.

“You are very impatient Miss. Kennard” Bette laughed.

“Bette” Tina whined.

“Ok fine” Bette smiled “We’re going to the pier”

“Really!?” Tina exclaimed with an excited look on her face “I love the pier!”

Bette chuckled at Tina’s childlike behavior.

“You are just full of surprises aren’t you?” Tina smiled.

“You didn’t expect me to take you to the pier?”

“No” Tina laughed “The pier doesn’t seem very Bette Porter to me”

“Well Bette Porter is more than just fancy dinner parties and gallery openings” Bette winked at her.
