By the time they reached Christine’s by the Sea for dinner they were able to converse with out the demands of their bodies getting in the way. The undercurrent of passion between the women was there but it was a gentle burn not the consuming heat of earlier.
The special of the day which both women ordered was outstanding, wild caught salmon with mushrooms and wild rice with a bottle of very good California Chardonnay.
“It certainly has been an interesting day.” Rosanna commented. “Thank you for introducing me to your daughter. I can tell that she is going to be a heart breaker, just like her mother.”
Bette smiled and looked in the eyes that reminded her of the sky on an early spring day. She was growing to be able to read those eyes. “She is pretty fond of you, I can tell. You weren’t kidding about loving that museum. I wasn’t sure who was more fascinated by the hands on exhibits you or her.”
Rosanna laughed and placed a warm hand over Bette’s. “Let’s call it a draw.”
“Was it awkward for you meeting Tina?”
“A little.”
“She had asked to meet you earlier this week when I told her that I was going to be introducing you to Angelica.”
“Sizing up the competition, sounds more like it.”
“There’s no competition she just wants to meet anyone that will have significant contact with Angelica.” Bette explained. “It’s important to both of us to be comfortable with the significant people in Angelica’s life.”
“That makes perfect sense to me.” Rosanna agreed with the premise. “However she wasn’t concerned about my relationship to Angelica, she was concerned about my relationship with you.”
“Well that is none of her business.” Bette declared heatedly.
“Do you not know that she is still in love with you?” Rosanna asked with a measure of surprise.
“No offense Ro, but Tina is hardly in love with me. She may still love and care for me but she is not romantically or sexually interested in me. Those feelings died once Angelica was born.”
“I don’t think so.” Rosanna pondered Bette’s response. Was it possible that Bette really couldn’t see that Tina was still in love with her? Rosanna was sure that the look that Tina gave her and her observation of her while they had a courtesy drink was of a woman sizing up the competition. She knew it because she had the same thought. Not only was Rosanna good at reading others she was able to tell what was her stuff and what was coming from others, it was a basic skill for a psychotherapist. One had to know in order to make the right intervention with a client.
“Once upon a time Tina was in love with me. We had something that was incredible. It has taken me a long time to accept that it is over. I have and now I am looking forward to seeing what happens between you and I.”
“Well in that case, let’s look forward. What do you say to a walk on the beach, and then a night of uninterrupted lovemaking? I love the way you scream when I make you come for me.”
“Let’s skip the beach, I don’t recall you being very quiet when I take you there.”

Bette’s moving on, and it looks like Ro’s in for a helluva ride. Nice one, kelika.
Ro maybe in the driver’s seat now but look in your rearview mirror, Tina’s coming on! Don’t count her out.
I’m speechless at the moment…frighten for Tina and my Tibette heart. Oh, whatever happened to Rosanna’s friend? I can’t remember her name at the moment. The one who is always there to pick up the pieces of Rosanna’s heart when it has been broken…could it be that she is secretly in love with Rosanna? Hope so! If so, please get her back in the picture real quick!
Ro better keek both eyes on Tina since Bette seems to be in the dark regarding Tina’s real feelings.
This makes me very happy indeed! 8D. Unfortunately, that wild dinner made me hungry. I’m off to go devour my fridge 8p. PPS!

i want B & T back together again, it’s just stories like this where u make the “other” person whose dating Bette like-able or even lovable that I want them to b apart…….or do I?
Tina needs to clean up her act…get rid of Henry permanently and any signs of him before she’s entitled to have a chance with Bette again. She needs to take a back seat and recognize that Bette deserves happiness and if Rosanna is the person providing it, then so be it. Love the update. PPS.

thank you rosanna for sowing the thought in bette’s thick head that tina is still in-love with her…maybe when bette gets some alone time she’ll reflect more deeply on rosanna’s words….i don’t believe rosanna will last the distance…bette is in-lust with her not in-love…and angie may well be a heartbreaker just like her mama T…
