    Expedition of the Heart—Chapter 2

What did she say? Bette questioned for everyone.

She said that she would see me later, Marina said still smiling. She didnt mention the rest of what Cecilia had said she wanted to keep that to herself.

    And she willright? Alice questioned.

Hmmmm maybe, Marina looked at the business card still lying in the center of the table. Sliding it off the table and putting it in her back pocket, she then walked off and tried to look like herself she didnt succeed.

OK shes going. Ive never seen Marina act like this. Even when she was with you Jen no offense, Tina said trying to not be mean.

I know its reallyweird. Marina never smiles this much and I havent seen the grin leave her face since she started to talk to Cecilia. Though I cant blame her! Id be smiling like that too if she showed me the attention she gave Marina but, thats just not Marina, Shane said leaning her elbows on the table.

Sowhat do we do? Are we in matchmaker mode now or what? Alice asked looking around the table.

Im in, Dana said putting her hand palm side down in the middle of the table.

Me too, Tina said adding her hand to Danas. Each of them agreed and they all placed their hands one on top of the other. Jenny was the only one who hadnt said anything yet and they all looked at her.

Oh OK if it means seeing Marina happy for once in her life, Jenny said as she added her hand to the pile. We still have one problem though Francesca.

Well work on that when it comes up. Alice looked at her watch. Oh ***** I have to go. See you all tonight! Everyone said goodbye and they all decided it was their turn to depart as well and they each paid their bills and headed for the door. Marina was behind the counter humming as she wiped down the espresso machine.

This is gonna be SO easy, Dana said and they all laughed as they left the building and headed their separate ways for a few hours. Tonight, they would work on their matchmaking skills.

    ***************

Cecilia pushed the door closed behind her and tossed the mail on the hall table. Hey CiCi is that you? A voice said from the other room.
