    Three months later....

     

    Three months later….

    Adams Porter household….

    Bette is sitting at the kitchen table, enjoying her morning coffee while reading a few artist’s profiles. She then looks up and checks the time, and groans.

    “Shit…” Bette says before closing her iPad and standing up. “Angie, you have five minutes, baby!” She yells.

    Michelle rushes into the kitchen with Mickey in her arms. “I’m gonna be so late…”

    Bette chuckles. “Yeah, tell me about it….”

    Michelle hands Mickey to Bette and then rushes over to the Keurig. “Don’t forget I have that staff meeting after school, baby, so I’ll be late….” She says as she watches the stream of coffee slowly trickle into her travel mug.

    Bette kisses Mickey’s cheek and then allows him to squirm out of her arms. “Yep, I remember….”

    Michelle then walks over and pulls Bette in for a kiss. “I’ll bring dinner home…”

    Bette gently smiles. “K….”

    Michelle leans down and kisses Mickey’s cheeks several times. “Mommy loves you, sweetie…”

    Angie strolls into the kitchen with her backpack on.

    Michelle gives Angie a smile and a wink. “Have a good day at school, honey….”

    Angie smiles and nods. “K….”

    Michelle rushes to the door, opens it, and sees Tina standing there with her hand hovering over the doorbell.

    Tina gently smiles. “Angie forgot her—”

    Michelle turns and yells over her shoulder. “Bette, your ex is here…” She then turns and walks past Tina and hurries off the porch.

    Tina rolls her eyes and shakes her head; she then smiles when Angie, followed by Bette and Mickey, comes to the door.

    “Hey sweetie…” Tina says to Angie.

    “Hey, Mommy….”

    Tina holds up Angie’s science book. “I thought I told you to be sure to put this back after you finished your paper the other night?”

    Angie gently shrugs. “I forgot…”

    Bette smiles and ushers Angie out the door. “Put it in your backpack, sweetie, so we can go…”

    Bette locks the door as Angie takes off her backpack and slides the book into her bag.

    Mickey wiggles out of Bette’s arms again and walks over to Tina. “TT….”

    Tina smiles and stoops down to give the toddler a hug. “Good morning…. are you ready for school?”

    Mickey smiles and nods.

    Bette rolls her eyes. “I’m sure he is, seeing as he seems to have the daycare staff wrapped around his finger; he pretty much runs the place….”

    5. “had a meeting after school”…yeah, right. I’d say Kit has the right intuition. Easy to blame other people (i.e. Tina) to distract from what you’re up to yourself, Michelle.

    6. KIT has decades of observing bodily language and she knows something’s up with Michelle. She’ll stay out of until & unless she sees something that’s definitely amiss.

    7. I think it’s the first time Bette realizes that it’s not the same feeling to see Tina in a swimsuit as to see Alice, for example.

      On the other hand, it seems that Michelle has some added distraction at work

    8. Those Sweet Lil Glances between Bette and Tina does my heart good! I keep thinking about Bette looking at Tina at the house swimming at the start of season 5, Tina was WEARING that swim suit BABY!!!! Looking DAMN Good and Bette was sho nuff looking!!!

      Michelle and her cute lil phone texting has Kit’s radar on alert! She is slipping with all the distractions from Ava who is probably playing on her insecurities big time.

      Loving the friendship between them so far. Bette didn’t know Tina dipped her toe back in the water and got back out there for a lil sumtin, sumtin!!! (hahahaha)
