    More talking, just a filler, next chapter Tina vs. Eric

    Chapter TwentyTwo

    Bette takes the boxes and walks into the kitchen, while Tina say goodbye to Erin and walks her to the door. She starts putting the boxes together. Her mind is working in overdrive and wonders why Tina wants to know about Eric. She pushes the thoughts out for the time being and continues with the boxes and filling them up with the stuff she had prepared. After a few minutes Tina walks slowly into the room. She looks at Bette who just keeps packing without looking at her.

    “Bette?” Tina carefully says.

    “Yeah?” Bette replies without looking up.

    “Say something.” Tina says.

    “Like what?” Bette asks, not looking up, meeting Tina’s eyes.

    “I can see that your mind of working 100 miles per hour.” Tina says.

    Bette takes a deep breath.

    “Are you going to go see Eric?” Bette asks as she continues to fill up the boxes.

    “I don’t know, I’m thinking about it.” Tina says.

    “Why would you even give that a thought?” Bette asks, looking up into Tina’s eyes.

    “Because I feel like I need to understand. Ask him why he did it, why he became this way.” Tina says, looking back into Bette’s eyes.

    A deep sigh escapes Bette’s lips as she takes a seat on one of the kitchen chairs. She reaches out her hand to Tina, pulling her down in the chair next to her. Tina continues.

    “I feel like I need it. That closure, even if he just tells me to fuck off, at least I know that I tried. Also for Evan’s sake. When he asks about his father when he gets older, I might have something to tell him other than he was a monster. I know that deep down he’s a nice man. I saw it while we were in high school and when we got married. He just lost his way.” Tina says.

    “Being able to always see the good in people isn’t what many people do, after being through what you have been through. It’s amazing really. It’s one of the things I like about you. You’re so pure.” Bette says.

    “Thank you.” Tina says as she gives Bette a little smile. “Will you come with me, if I go and see him?” She asks shyly.

    1. Thanks for the update. Really ejoying this story. I hope Erin is being honest about her visit, and I have a feeling that, even though it is not an excuse for his horrendous behavior,that Eric might have had hunch that Tina may have liked women, and in his mind this was a way to control her.

    6. Bette may like the fact that Tina is so innocent, and “pure”, but a lot of times it is those women who want to believe the abuser when they beg them to come back and promise not to do it again. What direction will Tina take? Thanks!

    10. that bastard eric better not think tina will wait for him or worse drop all charges so they can again be a happy family… lets hope she tell him to fuck of as she walks out of his life forever… can’t wait for the next chapter..pps

    12. I hope that Tina is careful as to whst information she gives Eric. I am very wary of her letting erin know where she is moving to. I am suspect of the fact that Erin shows up now. She should tell Eric that Bette is either a Social Worker or Law Assistant, not a friend. PPS :o).
