First, Last, Forever ch. 4
As fast as our stay in Florida came, it quickly went and we flew back to Los Angeles to spend the rest of spring break with the framily. When we got back all the children scattered, Summer had her cousins and friends over for a sleep over. Joshua went to his friend’s house to work on some music. Cassandra and Terri had work the next day, so they went home to relax. While Alexander and his wife spent time with their kids swimming and having fun in the back yard.
"I love that sound," Tina said, while we were cuddled up on the sofa in our bedroom. We had the doors to the back yard opened to let the warm summer breeze in.
"I do too," I said smiling contently at hearing the kids laughing and playing.
"I miss the children being that age. Playing with them, laughing with them, and now they’re grown and it’s almost over."
"I know babe, but we have the grandchildren, and we’re gonna have more. Angie, Sum, and Josh will have children and it will be fantastic," I said smiling at a solemn Tina, "what is it Tee?"
"I just miss the kids being little, you know? I miss hearing their little voices calling me mommy, saying I love you. Now it’s ma this and ma that."
"I know, I miss that too. But we’re onto the next part of our lives, it’s just us again. Remember? Just the two of us. Painting at all hours of the day, music blaring, dancing, uninterrupted love making all day and all night," I whisper lustfully in her ear, "we’re getting it back."
"I know, I’m a little sad but also very happy for that next step in our lives," she says and we hear buzzing on our intercom system. I walk to it and answer.
"Yes?"
"Miss. Bette, Miss. Dana and Miss. Lara are here to see you," I heard our housekeeper say.
"Great Lola."
"They’re waiting for you in the sitting room."
"We’ll be right there," I say and Tina and I make our way downstairs. We’re excited about celebrating with our friends over the news of our daughters. As soon as we saw Dana and Lara their eyes lit up and they beamed smiles at us. We greeted them with a hug and a kiss on the cheek and we lounged with them.
