Bette : I gently climbed out of bed, pushing the covers back and making my way to the fridge. This was a time celebrate. I know Tina is not supposed to drink but what is one little glass going to hurt. As I stand up naked, I feel a slight chill in the air, the weather is changing in seasons, ever so slightly but it is changing. Seconds after my feet hit the ground my nipples harden slightly with the unexpected chill. I just smile thinking of what last caused them to harden. Pleased with myself I select the only bottle of good champagne I have, grab two glasses and head right on back to bed. Tina and I have decided to make up for lost time. I head back to our bedroom champagne and glasses in hand and the first thing I see is Tina, lying on her side, looking contented, smiling at me. Damn it is a good thing.
Bette : Morning Tee, I lean over and kiss her as I snuggle under blanket.
Tina : Morning baby, you are awake early ?
Bette : I thought we should celebrate I hold up the bottle and glasses.
Tina : It has been so long since I have had a champagne breakfast. That would be nice.

I am listening to Tee as I put the glasses down to pop the cork on the champagne. It overflows a little but we dont care, just giggle a little. I look out the window and all the things I saw before are there, the sea, the sand, the dry grass, the sun. They all seem brighter and happier. The ocean and the sky seem bluer. My thoughts are interrupted.
Tina : watcha thinking about ? She runs her hand over my tummy and I realize I stopped pouring the champagne to look outside.
Bette : Just how lucky we are Tee I pour the champagne. I know she will only have a sip but it doesnt matter. Tee, I would like to propose a toast, to us, our family, to a new beginning, a new kind of partnership.
Tina : To us baby.

We drank and giggled and made love all day. Sometimes we took in each others body gently and lovingly, other times passionately like we might never get another chance. We must have dosed off and I woke when it was early evening. Tee was awake watching me.
Tina : did I wear you out ?
Bette : never I smile.
Tina : I heard you before talking to the baby this morning She has that crooked smile, I know she approves.
Bette : Oh, you did huh ? I tease. Well baby I missed a lot, I want her to know both her parents, I hope you dont mind.
Tina : not one bit baby She kisses me on the forehead.
Bette : Tee, how do you feel about getting up, theres something I want to show you
Tina : Tired of the bed already huh ?
Bette : No, never, but you know soon we will have to go home because you will not be able to fly and there is something I need to show you before we go. Tonight is the perfect night
Tina : Baby, if it is important to you, anything
Bette : Tee, it is important to me.

I showered while Tee made us a packed dinner, we realized we were ravenous because we hadnt eaten all day. Tee showered and packed up the car. For the first time I realized I didnt have my cell. *****. I needed to call Gary about the yacht. OK there is Tinas cell, she is in the shower. I call Gary and make arrangements for the yacht to be available tomorrow night. Its time Tee and I went home but I want to show her this place and spend a night on the yacht in the bay with her first. Tee is dressed and I am sitting on the couch.
Tina :Baby ?
Bette : Tee, I need to go home soon, are you ready to go home ?
Tina : baby, whenever you are ready
Bette : Id like to go soon Tee, its important to me we move forward now, go home, to our house, our friends. I was thinking, not tomorrow but the day after if there is a flight
Tina : Sure baby. I can tell Tee is glad to go home.

We head out to the car and I drive. I dont think there has ever been a time I was so happy, except when we got married maybe. I am taking Tina to a place where I have taken no other. Others have been there of course but not with me and they, the strangers do not know it is my secret place. We arrive and I can see Tee is perplexed but soon she starts to see the beauty. It is right there, you just have to see it. A creek with a big old tree. The tree casts shadows from its big limbs and leaves at this time of day. Some of the limbs have fallen off and you can sit on them. The creek runs but not fiercely. The fields surrounding us are golden, they are dry, it doesn’t much rain in these parts and when it does rain, not too heavily as a rule. The only green is down by the creek where the water feeds the plants. I tell Tina there are yabbies in there. I can tell she doesnt know what they are. She makes her way to the tree and sits on a big branch on the ground. I get out the picnic blanket and the basket. I am going to make love to her here, I am sure she wont mind. But I wanted to bring her here because this place is special to me, now more than ever. I pick a wild flower and join Tee on the big dry branch. Other than the creek running and the leaves of the tree rustling, it is silent.
Tina : Its beautiful Bette, so peaceful, so isolated She looks around.
Bette : Yes, it is I point out the wild horses on the top of the hill and the ducks are in the creeks swimming around. Some things are perfect Tee.
