Dana had not really slept the whole night thinking about what she was going to do today. She was worried that things would not go as planned. She had driven over to Max’s house the night before to get what they had been working on for Alice, this wasn’t Alice’s Christmas gift this was a surprise that Dana had been planning for a while now. When Dana woke up on Christmas morning she looked over to see her beautiful girlfriend still sound asleep to the world. Dana slipped her arm from under Alice’s neck and got out of bed careful not to wake Alice. Dana went into the kitchen and started to make breakfast. Blueberry pancakes were Al’s favourite and everything about this day was about Alice. As Dana put the pancakes on a tray along with freshly squeezed orange juice and a single peach rose. Dana walked into the bedroom and placed the tray down on the nightstand. She climbed back into bed and spooned Alice pulling her closer to her; she kissed her neck and worked her way up to her earlobe.

"Baby wake up, I have made your favourite for breakfast." Dana whispered in her ear.

"Just five more minutes." Alice begged sleepily. Dana started kissing her again her breathing was getting more laboured. She ran her hand up and down the side of Alice’s body. On feeling Dana’s hand and hearing her breathing Alice opened her eyes and turned round. "Good morning" Alice said in a husky voice. Now that Dana had got Alice awake she sat up in bed and lifted the tray off the nightstand.

"Come on baby I have breakfast here sit up." Dana said with a sly smile on her face.

"But I thought you…"Alice was cut off by Dana laughing.

"Yeah I tricked you." Dana replied still laughing. "Merry Christmas" Dana added as she leaned over and kissed Alice she then sat the tray in between them and they sat in bed and ate breakfast. Once breakfast was done Dana cleared up the mess she had made in the kitchen before returning to the bedroom. Alice was still lying in bed.

"Come back to bed." Alice said as she patted the empty space beside her.
