“It used to be so good between us” Jodi asserted. “It could be that way again.”
“We had some nice times” Bette conceded. “It just wasn’t working, we are too different.”
“I had to try” Jodi shrugged. “Otherwise I would always wonder.”
Bette nodded thinking it was over.
“Let’s have a toast to the good times.” Jodi held up the second bottle of water twisted the cap and extended it to Bette.
Bette took it and before Susan could step in a figure hurtled out of the brush and knocked Jodi to the ground.
“You are dead meat Jodi Lerner” Tina shouted into her face her own twisted in rage.
“Tina” Bette stunned dropped the bottle of water and grabbed Tina who had grabbed Jodi by her shirt front and was about to punch her. Susan scooped up the bottle of water which was still half full as possible evidence.
Jodi scrambled to rise and set herself to go after Tina when Helena and the rest of the gang arrived. Jodi launched herself at Tina who never took her eyes off her and used Bette’s restraint to kick her soundly in her chest with both feet. Jodi went down again.
“Whoa” Shane stood between Tina and Jodi shifting to check and see if Jodi was alright.
“Tina…Tina…” Bette wrapped her arms around her holding her back. She had never seen Tina like this. “Take it easy…calm down” she spoke to her softly. “Calm down…everything is ok.”
Tina twisted in her arms, some semblance of sanity returning. “Bette did you drink anything? Did she drug you?”
“What are you talking about honey?” A sinking feeling spread through her, the water. Were there drugs in the water? She glanced to the place she had dropped it.
“I have the bottle Ms. Porter” Susan held it up.
“Drugs.” Shane looked from Jodi to Bette to Tina. No. Jodi would never.
“I didn’t drink the water.” Bette told Tina and held her eyes until she saw the panic dissipate. “I’m fine. Our baby is fine.”
Tina hearing those words held her tightly while she struggled with the adrenaline coursing through her veins.
It dawned on Bette then that Jodi had almost put their baby at risk. She continued to hold Tina while she sought Jodi in the crowd.
“Jodi, were there drugs in the water you gave me?” Bette asked meeting the blue eyes of her ex-lover.
Jodi looked away.
“What kind of drugs?” Bette had her answer.
“Just a little something to get you in the mood” she signed.
“In the mood for what?” Bette signed and voiced at the same time.
“A hot fuck” Jodi answered defiantly with sign and voice.
This time Bette could not hold Tina. Tina was all over her. She literally kicked her ass. No one moved to restrain her. Jodi tried to fight her but she was no match for the enraged blonde. “She’s pregnant you asshole…she’s pregnant…”
“No” Jodi shouted before Tom stepped in to restrain Tina.
“What the fuck is going on?” Tom demanded as he, Max and Kit arrived on the scene after getting a call from Helena to come to the beach.
“Do you want me to call the police Ms. Peabody?” Susan asked turning away from the scene. She wished she could have kicked Ms. Lerner’s ass.
“Tina, Bette…do you want to press charges?”
“Yes” they answered in unison.
“Susan, please call the police and keep an eye on Ms. Lerner until they arrive.”
The wedding took place at five o’clock in the afternoon as scheduled on the patio of the home of Elizabeth Porter, Christina Kennard and Angelica Kennard-Porter. The over three hundred witnesses to the event would talk for years to come of the incredible love they saw that day.

Thank God Bette did not drink the water but I wander if Jodie had already suspected that Bette was pregnant due to using water instead of alcohol? I also wander if Jodie on the L-Word show will that ruthless in season 6. Kelika you have got my mind going with this one. PPS

Well, that oughtta cure anyone else from pissing off Tina! I would actually like to see some sort of “showdown” between Tina and Jodi in S6. I loooooove this story Kelika…I hope that there’s lots more to come!

Thank God Helena was there to the rescue, that woman, she never quit, bravo Tina, she did a great job teaching that bitch a lesson, I am happy that she is out of the picture, let them live their life peacefully. That was just great. I am so glad Tina finally got to kick Jodi’s ass all I’m concerned with is how Shane could still be so confident that Jodi would never try to drug Bette. And why was Tom allowed to restrain Tina I’m surprised he didn’t get his ass kicked by everyone else for even putting his hands on her. He should have grabbed Jodi to try and get her out of harms way not put his hands on T. Thanks to Helena’s diligence everything went well and no one but Jodi was hurt.

So happy that Tina got the chance to kick Jodi’s ass, she deserved what she got and so much more. It was long overdue and they should have let Kit have a go at her. I agree with everyone, especially OneStorm1, that Tom never should have put his hands on Tina, he should have restrained Jodi, the crazy BITCH. And thank God for Helena and her crew. Shane learned a valuable lesson, ya think! When everyone is against your idea, you should think about it and let it go, there must be a reason, ya think! Shane’s brain is to f’ed up with drugs and the bodies of 10,000 women to think straight. She always goes for the underdog and sometimes the underdog is a very bad dog. So sorry Kelika when I found these this morning they were all up and I did not comment on the other two, I wqas reading too fast. As always you are doing a superb job with the story and I LOVE IT. I just know you will give us some description of the wedding, wedding night and all that jazz; right? Post when you can.
Jodie has got to be crazy if she thought Tina wasn’t going to kick her ass after that comment. I am glad that Bette and Shane have finally seen completely who Jodie is.
