Freedom Fest Ch. 5
Previously-
Dana pulled her car into a parking spot and turned off the engine. She was surprised when she looked out the window at the vacant building and stared at the Bull Pen sign. It was as if her car was on auto pilot. She was so lost in the memories of Alice that she wasn’t sure how she arrived here. Though she was not surprised with the way her day had been. Dana took a deep breath, letting it out slowly as she wiped away the tear slowly rolling down her cheek.
Chapter 5 –
Dana shut her eyes and took a shaky breath. “It’s going to be a long night.” It was a sign. She knew what she had to do as much as she hated it. Regardless of what might happen over the weekend, she knew why she came back to LA…for closure. In order to have some closure she was going to have to relive the last eight years, no matter how much it hurt and how much she didn’t want to do it. It was time to find some closure and move on with her life whether she was ready to or not. Reliving the last eight years meant starting at the beginning which is why she was staring at the Bull Pen, the place where it all started.
(October/November 2001)
Dana and Alice had spent lots of time together and become good friends. Tonight Dana had convinced Alice to come watch her play flag football. Dana had blown out her knee playing Tennis her first year of college, ending her tennis career. She missed tennis and loved playing sports so when she was offered a chance to be the Athletic Director of her dorm she jumped at the opportunity. It wasn’t the same as playing tennis, but it allowed her to continue playing sports.
They had just returned to Dana’s room from the game. Dana was going to take a shower and get her books. She and Alice were planning on going out to eat and then going back to Alice’s house for the week. Dana was grateful for her friendship with Alice. Her roommate was driving her nuts and she liked being able to stay at Alice’s apartment. Dana loved her friends, but she also loved her privacy. Something she never had when she had a roommate. She was also sick of eating cafeteria food and Alice’s kitchen allowed her to cook real food.

Gr8 update,loved it! Please post when u can,thanks again!
Welcome back cougar! So glad to choose to continue this story. I have been thinking about it and here you are. I never had a chance to comment on the 4 previous chapters because I was away when you first began this. I thought this story is very intriguing and cannot wait to find out why they broke up to begin with. I felt so bad when D wanted to end her life. I also wonder why D had a bad feeling for Jay aside from the fact that he and A were making out. I am looking forward to your future posts to find out the answers. And don’t worry about “Forever Friends” for now, we all can wait. Thank you very much.
Welcome back!! I am so thrilled to see an update to this great story! Bummed about Dana’s tennis career, but, glad she found a way to keep in sports. “Though she saw the possibly of a serious relationship with everyone she dated.” — that really sums up what is good and bad about Alice and relationships. You write the attraction very well — I can almost feel the heat. Very uncool for Alice to bring Dana to Jay’s. Bad move, Al!! I am a bit concerned about these migraines. I hope they are not serious. Smooth move by Ms Dana to get Alice to cuddle closer in the day bed. Thank you so much, cougar! I hope we hear more from you soon.
Ahh, great update. Please don’t leave an update on this fantastic story too long again!!
great update – more please and soon
