“Bette, come on, a small gallery? You’re not made for small. You’ve been eyeballing that huge space by The Planet for months now. Think of all you can do in a space that big. And Helena really wants to do this for you.”

“I know, it’s my dream to open a huge gallery,” Bette sighed, “it’s just Helena. Before you started working for her, I had only met Helena once, a long time ago when she was fifteen and I still have that bitchy, spoiled brat image in my mind.”

“She’s changed, she is a lot different. Sure she has her spoiled brat moments, and she can be a bitch, but she’s a great business woman. Even Peggy was impressed with her change and her taking the business seriously when I talked to her at the Provocations opening. Plus she really wants to give Franklin the middle finger. You should have heard the conversation she had with him when she told him she was stepping down. He was quite upset.”

“He was going to get rid of her when he was done using her for his benefit. The man’s a fucking snake.”

“You see? She’s on your side.”

“Ok ok babe, I’m not entirely sold. But I will give her the benefit of the doubt,” she said pulling Bex out of the tub and drying her off.

“That’s all that I ask. How is it going with Bex?”

“Great, just great. We both just got done painting and I just gave her a bath.”

“That’s great babe,” Tina said laughing, “who’d have thought the alpha Bette Porter would be stuck at home with the child being a housewife?”

“Oh Tee,” she said with a chuckle, “I never thought so, but I’m gonna enjoy it while it lasts.”

“I have to go babe, I have a meeting,” Tina said, sighing, “I love you baby.”

“I love you too Tee, bye baby,” she said and hung up. She got Bex dressed and set up a movie for her in the living room while she made them lunch. They sat and enjoyed their lunch, while Bex reminisced in her baby gibberish about the time they saw the monkeys. Bette clearly noted that a visit to the zoo this weekend was in order.
