Chapter 35 – Evaluations
Once again Tina found herself lying in bed late at night thinking about Bette. This time it was Bette and Anna both that had her attention. Tina realized that lately she has not been home much and when she was home Anna usually was already in bed. It would seem that Bette has seen and been with Anna more than Tina herself. She was trying to really figure out what it is she was feeling. As soon as she realized that Bette had seen Anna balance herself for the first time and Tina had known nothing about it, Tina had this feeling come over her.
It dawned on Tina that what she was feeling was in fact jealousy but of a different sort. She realized that Anna was going through new things almost every day and she was happy that Bette had been here to witness these changes. She was happy for Bette and her new found ability to put Anna first in her life. She was just a little jealous of Anna and all the time she has been spending with Bette. As this realization hits Tina she feels like an awful mother. What mother would be jealous of her daughters time with her ex? God this sounds ridiculous. The more that Tina thought about this notion the more she dismissed it. It couldnt be jealousy, it had to be that she was upset about missing out on little things that Anna was doing. Yes that had to be it. As soon as this grant was done she would make being with Anna the priority in her life that it is supposed to be. Yes that is exactly what she was going to do. With that resolved in her mind Tina took a deep breath trying to clear her mind she needs to get to sleep sometime tonight.
Over an hour later, Tina decided she might as well get up and check on Anna. As she entered Annas room Tinas eyes fell on her little girl. What a precious joy she is. Now that Anna was sleeping through the night on a regular basis, Tina too was able to sleep through the night. Well most nights anyway. Anna is now sleeping on her stomach she has her butt sticking up in the air. How can she be comfortable this way is beyond Tina but Anna was sleeping soundly so Tina wasnt about to disturb her. Watching her little girl sleep, Tina asks herself again what that feeling had been. OK Ive figured it out. Well its my own fault. The only time I have had lately has been about work and I am the only one who can change that. With that renewed positive thought, Tina asked in a whisper to Anna, Honey what you think about us asking you other Mom over for dinner next week? Huh? Dont you think that would be fun? Yes I do too. Tina says answering her own question.

OK, if Alice does uncover the truth, it doesn’t necessarily mean that she’ll imediately go running to Tina, right? Surely she wants B & T to get back together and wouldn’t jeapordize that in any way by trying to stir up trouble…I’m just hoping here. This is such a page turner! I’m looking forward to the dinner and the ‘hot monkey love’ Thanks again-this just keeps getting better with every post!

Good insight into Tina and her being jealous of Anna getting Bette’s time. And I like how you put in Tina’s ability to “come to the same conclusions it just would have taken her a little longer”. She’ll see the light!

I’m glad Tina’s grant is over so that she can spend more time with Anna…….and Bette.;) I just hope that Bette is not scared of Tina. The role reversal is great!

Now that is weird…understandable I guess because she loves Bette and misses her, but she has to get out of that funk quickly. oOo…Alice is getting close…what!?…the DRAGON LADY still has more crap up her sleeve?…I guess we’ll just have to wait and see=P…Yet another outstanding chapter Jwet=D

Yes, Tina needs to make more time for Anna otherwise she will carry that guilt with her forever. I sure am glad she invited Bette for dinner.
I wont be a happy bunny if Alice messes in this and makes it all go wrong, hopefully she will talk to Bette first. Things are finally moving in the right direction, it would be good to keep it on that track!
Hmm…it seems as though Alice might be the one tossing a spanner into the works. (With the best of intentions, of course.) Finally, ActionTina comes to the fore. (Hopefully, no spanners will be tossed prior to Friday.)
And if they really need to compare things, there’s lots of skills they can work on…kissing, breast fonding, etc. (Just suggesting — after all, you figured out how to work in “hot monkey love.”)
Hopefully Alice won’t jump to conclusions and go running to Tina… that would be so bad..looking forward to the dinner date… is it not Friday yet!!!

I was having problems connecting to the site as well…Amen that was solved. Alice is scaring me b/c I know she’s gonna misterpret what she ‘hears’ and that may place a strain on Bette and Tina’s current relationship… can’t wait for the dinner on Friday!
