    Chapter 82 – Moving Back Home

    Tina looks at Bette perplexed not quite getting Bette’s
    point “Sssoo you want to move in?”

     

    “Second chances are a miracle of grace.  They don’t happen often.  For me to have this second chance with you
    means that this, me and you, was truly meant to be ” Bette chokes out and once
    again has her voice fails.

     

    This is Bette exposing her soul for her and Tina knew that whatever
    Bette is telling is so close to her core being that she is having problems
    articulating it. 

     

    Bette tries again “T there just aren’t anymore words to
    describe what you and Anna mean to me The connection I feel the closeness
    that there has always been.  Do you feel
    that connection?  Is it that way for you
    too?”  As Bette asks this she is looking
    into Tina’s heart for the answer with tears still streaming down her face
    unchecked.

     

    Tina’s knows what Bette is asking but she is so moved by how
    vulnerable Bette has made herself by asking this that Tina can’t find her
    voice.  With a face that is moist by
    tears of her own Tina just grabs Bette’s hand and pulls it to her chest.  Holding it over her heart as they look into
    each others souls.  Tina is left nodding
    her head for an answer as that is all the more each of them need to say as they
    both know Bette is moving home.

     

    Chapter 82 – Moving Back Home

     

    It was morning rush hour at the Planet with people coming
    and going as they get their mornings started right and then rush off to
    work.  Alice and Dana were sitting in
    their usual table as they each where going through the morning motions but not
    really fully engaged.  Dana was lost in
    her thoughts of the previous night.  It
    just amazed her how much she loved Alice.  The previous night had turned into an
    extended tease as Alice
    had every intention of returning to her research.  It had taken every resource that Dana
    possessed to keep Alice‘s
    attention.  In some ways when Alice gets in her excited
    state as she was last night about her discoveries, Dana just feels like a
    second fiddle.  It was at these moments
    that Dana wondered if maybe Alice
    would be better off with someone else. 
    She had used every weapon in her arsenal last night to keep Alice‘s attention even
    pulling out her ‘Ace in the Hole’ by bringing out Big Bopper and having a
    little fun with it.

They don’t happen often…” I know this quote isn’t actually part of this chapter but I’m struck by it every time I read it (and that must be at least 6 or 7 times now). It’s so true and so simply summed up. This is what I love most about your writing – time and time again I come across a little gem like that and the simple truth of the statement is so moving. Thanks for writing.

      Delightful. JK Rowling’s loss is definitely our gain.
      This story rocks as Bette and Tina take the final steps to reconcillation and rekindling their reationship.
      You have written a magical tale that has transfixed your readers with awe and wonder.
      The simplest of scenes have become guiding beacons for Bette to safely traverse the stormy waters that her life had become. Through soul searching and honest, open communication Tina will lead her to the safest of habours. A place to lower the anchor and dock awhile.
      As for the rest of the gang, they live and breath in this story and add so much enjoyment and a real sense of family.
      Only Helena needs her ass whipped but I am sure that you will ensure that she is paid back in full for all her interfering and mischief.
      Please post more real soon as I can’t wait.

    29. Happy to see that Alice was only suffering a little mindless fog instead of being dead to the world in a carbohydrate coma. With just two simple words you manage to conjur up a visual that both makes me cringe and laugh…Big Bopper. For a jock, Dana is pretty resourceful, isn’t she?

      Just a day in the life and you still make the simplest things endearing. Bette and Tina’s shared Mona Lisa smile, their friends happiness, Bette’s suits and James…our dear, dear James. Your story is like taking a cross country tour…so many wonderful things to see and take in…and even the rest stops are fun!

      So, will it be Bette, Alice or Tina that take the wind out of Hurricane Helena? Can’t wait.
